Is that doctored ? I watched the Raggies match in a pub before going to the game so I wasn't paying 100% attention but he makes it sound like they dominated ! To even suggest that shows how small minded he is (and a liar) Mind you it just shows how much he is hurting. keep lying to the masses as they slide into mediocrity.

Frank you are required on this thread.

It is actually incredible isn't it? It just shows how people are desperate to believe things which suit their perspective and things are skewed as a consequence.

It is ironic that people question the media, their integrity, honesty on this thread and over analyse every comment but then are happy to take a tweet, posted by a stranger, at face value as reflective of the whole story

I think that is because they are a little bit silly and the paranoia is severely affecting them. This has to be the most embarrassing thread on any forum ever.

Whilst I agree on the whole that many look for things that aren't there, I also do believe that we get way more than our fair share of negative reporting for whatever reason.

As Kurt once said, "Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you".

I completely agree we get our fair share of negative reporting and also agree some members of the press do not like us.

But when BT (A commercial partner), ex-blues, BBC, Sky, Fa, referees, every newspaper are part of a bias against us it becomes ridiculous.

But EVERY team does! God stop being so selective. Read any paper and all teams get their stick.

It's not our 'fair share' actually, because although said media etc are not joined in a conspiracy, they are riddled with rags, scouse lovers, & southerners so we are well down the pecking order when it comes to 'fairness'.

It's not paranoia that Sky and BT only employ so-called experts who have x amount of trophies, which are gleefully listed on the screen every match.

Ignoring the obvious lesson that great players don't often make good managers, presumably neither do they make good experts. There are many examples.

So this creates a natural bias towards the likes of Dippers and Scum and against a club like City who because of our current success are most likely to be in the firing line.

Isn't that obvious?

Whilst some of the comments on here border on the absurd, some might say that it's those who meekly accept unwarranted and inequitable criticism of our club who are 'soft'.
They'd be wrong though. We used to be the thickest skinned set of fans going. Nothing used to bother us. What bothers some people these days is very soft.

Nobody accepts it neither, people just choose to ignore it like the club do (who's stance with the media is spot on!) because it isn't worth taking any notice of.

If everyone did that I don't think the media wouldn't bother with half the shit they come out with. They do have their Rag Liverpool and London club audience but they also had their over-sensitive City audience with this thread as an example to wind up. If I was a journalist I'd read this thread, rub my hands, smirk and write some bollocks to wind up the softies in this thread too. They make the journalists' jobs easy.

Sorry, GDM, but I find that very hard to agree with. This thread is a microcosm of the society we now live in. Moaning fuckers moaning about moaning and while I can sort of commend those who bring these little sniping pieces to our attention, the other side of the coin rarely gets aired. And yes, it is soft to moan about such things. I don't meekly accept anything bad written about my club, but I do find it very crineworthy the amount of fanny flapping that goes on in here. I'd hate to have to go to war with most of the blubbering people who get offended so easily. They are...fucking soft.

In fact, there was a thread posted on this forum in October 2013....Have we lost the league?
What was that all about? It was the sign for me that the attitude of a few fans had changed forever. Soft!

With regard to the ongoing debate:

*Arguing over the merits of Jamie Jackson's opinions about City's performances is like deliberating upon which breed of dog you'd like to shit on your lawn.

* We must remember that many of these guys (Ogden and Jackson are prime examples) are being paid to behave like fans with typewriters rather than objective newsmen. (Going off topic but an Irish journo who was there, recently reported with disgust about how some of the English Press Pack were actually taking selfies at Jurgen Klopp's first Liverpool presser. When it gets to that stage, any pretence of impartiality has obviously flown out the window).
The point is there's no sense in looking for fairness on a rigged system.

* In light of the above point, I have more often than not disagreed with the posts of @franksinatra on this thread.
By accident or design, he finds himself as something of a self-appointed devil's advocate on this thread. There's actually a need for such input, in fairness and anybody who has thought through their opinions shouldn't fear contradiction. To be fair to Frank, he has always treated others with manners rather than frustrated snipes and argued with logic rather than rhetoric. His point about context regarding Jackson's tweet is a valid one - and it's blind nonsense to accuse him of being a rag, just because he's trying to maintain perspective.

*Jackson sees everything through the prism if his beloved Manyoo. Everything that is going on at that club right now, occurs with City, theirgreat blue bogeymen, lurking in the background. "React to City" has been the default mode of operation at the Swamp for a while now. So, it's no surprise that a fan with a typewriter like Jamie Jackson would reference City whilst reporting on a defeat for United. Neither should it be a shock that he does so at a time when fans (with or without typewriters) are urging the club to sack King Louis and appoint the Specious One. If/when that happens Jamie will doubtless be too busy taking selfies at the new Messiah's unveiling to reference ickle City.
