The annoying thing is that, according to the media, pre-season seems to take on an extra significance when we lose.

Do you remember when the Rags won that pre-season cup last year and the hype that surrounded it? They were unbeaten in pre-season if I remember rightly. Then they went and lost their first game at home to swansea, and took 13 points in their first 10 games. That demonstrates how meaningless it really is.

A pre season has never been nor ever will be a true reflection of how a team performs during the season.. Its a bit like taking practice penalties and then taking one in an important game...different kettle of fish altogether...
