We used to talk about the parallels between Busby & Baconface, never really imagining that they would regress in much the same way. I can't imagine they'll get relegated as they were in 1974 but it's going to be some job to rebuild that side and could take a few years.

And the thing that makes them so pathetic is that they have not even seen the bottom half of the table yet, if they can't cope with 7th or 8th place how the fuck would they cope with a relegation?
