Everton Post Match Thread

He was quite good in Nosferatu.

Hey get your own material Hannah ! Told you this was Shelvey earlier today !

Saw the second half and I thought we were very unlucky not to score, also the last minute penalty not awarded was very cruel. Still think Pellers should've brought Kelechi in, just bringing Silva was not enough and it was obvious a change in attack it would have benefited us more than anything. To all those calling OUR PLAYERS divers please come out clean and tell us which team do you really support. At the end the evening was not that sour after the Liverpool-Arsenal result. I still think we can win this, we just need to help ourselves by scoring those chances. We know we won't get any fair decisions from refs. Please Pellers, just grow some balls and give Kelechi more minutes

Team should just wheel out some sitees and park their asses next home game. Twud be much the same use.

Only saw the second half from the comfort of a bar with a hot meal in fornt of me. Looked like City were well on top, had four or five close things where a better bounce of the ball would have neant a goal.
It wasn't a penalty, get over it. That was exactly the kind of situation the rags always got the benefit of, if it was wrong when it went their way it'd have been wrong if it had gone ours. The ball was going out, Sterling had gone looking for the pen, not an honest player.

Anyway both City and Arsenal will drop points but if City put a run together they'll be ahead when the Arse come to City at the end of the season and then beating them will give City the title. Have some bloody faith.

Too many of us underestimating Everton on this site.Everton outplayed us at our own ground 1st half and definitely played some lovely passing football.2nd half we got right into them but they sat back and defended magnificently and we never really created any clear chances.it may well have been a penalty but Stirling was going nowhere and if it had been given Stones would have been crucified for a stupid challenge and we would have got a win we didn't really deserve.give some credit to everton.I think they are a good team who should be higher up the league

Nice try , Everton didnt deserve anything from that game , and they certainly didnt "outplay" us in the 1st half , they had a 10-15 minute spell and no more , and it doesnt matter if Sterling wasnt going anywhere ,it was a penalty which would have resulted in a well earned victory ,

What a crock of shit

I thought we were very good tonight specially 2 2nd half /unlucky not to score and 2 non dodgy penalty decisions went against us,how come the ground looked half empty ?

What are you lot moaning about ?

I enjoyed my evenings entertainment !

I sat in my car for over two hours trying to get there. Then it took ages to park. Then I got pissed wet through walking to the ground. Then I walked into a puddle that was about 3 feet fucking deep that I didn't even see. Then I got into the ground with 28 minutes gone and climbed the three million fucking stairs to get to my affordable new seat in South level three stand with my amazing view from the fucking moon freezing my tits off pissed wet through. To then be bored fucking senseless with this side to side passing shite whilst sitting next to thousands of Scousers with two songs, Everton Everton Everfuckington and the other one telling me that my City was full of shit and more shit. 0-0, another cheating fucking ref.

Back out more fucking rain, more traffic.

Just got in, feet freezing and going to bed.

You can't beat going to the game

Apart from that , you had a good night ?

The ball may have been going out, but it was live at the time Sterling was fouled. - The defender slid in and took Sterling but not the ball therefore it was a penalty. And if you don't think the position of the ball at the time of impact is relevant then you know fuck all about the laws of the game.

I've never had anything against Martinez, but his comments about the penalty rubbed me up the wrong way, not like him.

Against Norwich the team our manager picked was so balanced it was unbelievable. We won at a canter. Tonight was a case of the manager reverting to type.

He's useless and clueless, but nice and a charming man at the same time, which makes it hard to get rid.

He's taking us backwards faster than an Italian tank in reverse!!

I F YOU bored now what were you like 2 0 years ago ?
I find us incredibly boring at present too. I was more entertained by Mark Kennedy and Danny Granville's overlapping play in what is now the Championship under Royle than some of our games this season. Our passing is so slow it's painful.

If United weren't utterly terrible to watch we'd be getting panned in the media for how boring we've become because only United are more boring than us in the top half.

WUM fu*k back down the motorway

Awful traffic. I walked an hour to the ground and an hour back. And I thought it was a terrible match with Everton settling for a tactical match and City not seeming to care.

I have not seen many games like that at home in recent seasons from City. There have been worse, but not many. We didn't show any hunger , or urgency. 15 mins in the 2nd half for a team supposedly fighting for the title is not good enough.

I was contemplating not going to the game on Saturday such was my annoyance with the team on the way home, but of course I will go. There's so much to play for, but zero belief.

Despite all the pressure , not one ball dropped for us in the penalty area ,

That is because we didn't get enough bodies in the area so the odds are it will drop to an opponent.

The refs are bent, there is now no doubt about it. We wont win the league this year if they carry on depriving us of blatant pens, think that is 4 in the last 5 now, we would be top had we been awarded them.

The two most obvious were at Leicester and tonight.
