Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

That's what happened to City today. They forgot that they had to work hard. Bad day at the office. The league is still there for the taking, we are not bottom of the league.

If, and I think it's a big if, we are to win the league, we will have to do something we have not done since the start of the season and put a run of wins together, starting with Spuds next week. Bad day at the office for all today but Leicester were very well drilled and deserved the win.

Really ? They have done so in the past and with the best coach in the world leading them I feel certain that many of them will reach those heights again. Not all of course, some are past their sell by dates and will leave.

Pellegrini is responsible for having a squad assembled at great cost playing like donkeys.
2 years ago, legs are going in some of our key players. Will be 3 years on the end of next season. This chapter is closing fast, hopefully with CL still thrre

Team looked tired today but once again we see no one supporting the player on the ball when attacking and not enough team commitment when defending. Lots of players stood around waiting for the ball but no one working to make space. No one is making any runs ahead of our attackers to create space so the ball has to go sideways or back all the time. Or we try the intricate one two's through midfield which normally results in Silva or Aguero getting kicked and no free kick being awarded

How can anyone say he's clueless. Yes, we got beat by a far better team already 3 points ahead and in the heat of the moment folks are a bit pissed off but to say the guy who who has bought us the double and numerous other footballing scalps is clueless is a bit rich. The Moyesiah and TT are examples of cluelessness.
3 points From the top six teams the guy is clueless and stubborn the managers know how to play him . Stoke away 3 goals spurs away 4 goals Liverpool 3 goals now Leicester 3 goals the guy is cannon fodder

Unfortunately they've forgotten it for most of the season. The apathy baffles me when they now KNOW FOR SURE they have a manager coming in who will make them work harder than they ever have before.

Why not take a stab at getting in the habit now you lazy c**ts.

We are in my opinion the easiest team to play against in the league. We are so easy to get at. Obviously we are a force with the quality we have going forward at times but when we lose it its like a hot knife through butter if someone runs at us. I honestly do wonder if we work on the defensive side in training. Against the top counter attacking side in the league we played right into their hands. Defensive set plays also something I find it hard to believe we work on.

Our tackling is abysmal. Never seen a team miss tackles as often as we do.

Until kompany is fit Sagna has to play CB or one of the kids. We don't have anything to lose in doing this, we are all over the show. Feel sorry for Hart.

All is not lost. I still believe we will win the league but we need a major improvement. Injuries are catching up on us, only one game a week the next 2 so hopefully we can get a few bodies back.

Yaya is my favourite city player of all time and most important, I will never critisised the big man for what he has done for our club but now Is the time for him to make way. Use him when we need him, but certain games are not made for him no more unfortunately.

We won't win the league as we are one of the easiest teams to play against. Pellegrini will play the exact same formation and tactics against Spurs next weekend and it will be equally as bad as today. 3rd/4th and I will be ecstatic, players recruitment along with an inept manager has taken us backwards.

Leicester looked like us under Mancini (before that went wrong) - full of cohesion and determination.

Our cohesion dissipated a while ago but today was worse than usual because it was all at once - defense. midfield and attack. Some of our players are just incapable of fluid football - Kolorov and Sterling in particular. Big question remains as to whether Sterling can learn though.

We need some new players to move the ball quickly.

Oh Pellegrini ...

If we are to win anything this season then Yaya will be the pivot. He is the only midfielder who can pick a pass and control the midfield.

That said, Pellegrini needs to dramatically alter how he utilises him. We need to use him like the Ivory Coast do. As a playmaking defensive midfielder. Remember, Pirlo and Xabi Alonso were not the most mobile and best defenders either. Watching him these past few weeks playing high up the pitch is embarrassing. He's like an overweight dad playing with 15 year old energetic kids and having rings run around him.

Allow Delph and Fernandinho to still do the majority of the defending but also give them a license to press higher and push up. Let Yaya roam around from deep and link all of our play together.

I've lost track of how many times I've said "that was our worst performance in recent years" this season.

We cannot and will not win this league if yaya continues to start matches, Delph is been left out hung to dry by playing him on the left, we need to start nacho up front with Aguero, Sagna in for MDM for pace at the back, make Zaba captain, clichy over Kolarov, Sterling on the right Silva on the left. We need to start with pace and passion from the start, sadly I think the league is gone purely on the effort side, I hope Leceister win it.

100% agree.

However, we have had far too many of these 'bad days at the office' for it to be anything other than poor management.

Need more pace and dynamism. Half the squad don't bring that but all the EDS players do. If celina can put in a ball like that one today then he needs more game time. Showed more in his short cameo than silva has in months.

Delph, Sterling, Otamendi and Fernandinho need to start every match. No place for dying legs in this league anymore. Silva looks shades of what we know he can be and Yaya can't even do a job further up now.

Shite, same pretty much every week, just depends on whether they feel like playing or not. Now as for the team, Pellegrini underestimated them. Kolarov was wank, no reason to drop Clichy who started to play well, he probably would've dealt with Mahrez for the first goal, instead of fouling him and having outrageous shots which are never going in. Zabaleta I thought played ok, at least you don't lose the consistency at RB like you do with LB. CB's, both terrible, Nicolas Sliding Otamendi getting caught out constantly, Demichelis reads it well but it's no good when you can't prevent this from happening. Get Mangala back or Denayer, christ. CM, Yaya, why, we know he can't play there. Gets forwards, we don't score, then he's still at the end of the pitch after the other team have attacked/scored (Mahrez 2-0), Fernandinho and Fernando/Delph would've been better suited. OK as for wingers we're pretty hampered right now so Sterling and Silva (how many times) Silva is not a winger, don't play him there. Both were useless today, Sterling's too weak he constantly gets knocked off the ball and he can't seem to use his pace to get away or past anybody! Aguero was really feeding on scraps but another goal today, hopefully he wins the golden boot. With huge games coming up I can only hope that we get most of our players back bar KDB as we're going to need everyone fit. Write off today, start fresh next week, thank god Pellegrini is going at the end of the season because I couldn't tolerate this even if Guardiola wasn't coming to city next season.

Ive said for a while, we need to rebuild our midfield, ours is non existent defensively! The defence is so exposed it's frightening! Fernandinho might get to hang around but at 31 even he could be deemed surplus!!

If your a team with plenty of energy and desire with a few half decent players then you'll get the better of City! We seem to just think we can name a decent 11 who on paper are usually better than the opposition and just win the game!! We can't!

a few players cemented there departure today!
