I think there were about 50k other guys in the stands who would have preferred your idea.
One reason I have given Pellers more slack than most is because I think he has too many players that are mentally flawed and I think there have been limits beyond his control on changing the squad as much as it requires. I think change is a comin' big time - I hope so. The only players that I wouldn't consider binning in the summer are Hart and Aguero and maybe KDB.
Bayern haven't looked like dropping a point at home this season and conceded 3 goals in 10 home games.
You can score goals for fun and not concede if you have some tactical nous and the players believe in your game plan.
Admittedly they are a far better side than we are but they are also far better managed than we are.
Because we are not managed and have no game plan the players have nothing to believe in.
The injuries hVe played a part but the team selection is equally to blame. My Mrs even questioned why clichy wasn't playing when she saw the team line up and she knows nothing

Officially its out of the bag now that the chase for Pep has been 3/4 years in the making as many of us have said for the last few years on here and no doubt, transfer policy will have been affected by his impending arrival and plans he will have for the club.
Yes we have spent money, mainly on Sterling and KdB whome i both believe to be Pep players. Whether Mangala and Otakendi are is to be seen but i still have faith that Mangala can be a huge player for us as he has all the attributes needed to be a great CB and Otamendi was a great player in la liga.
Pogba is needed this summer as is new full backs, absolute prority.
That said i still think we are good enough if the right mentality is therembut its the lack of it as seen yesterday that lets this side down all to often, coupled with a manager who is obviously stubborn too often.
Your second paragraph is spot on.I think the injuries to Kevin and Navas has severely reduced our options. This may be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
I wouldn't mind the midfield not helping the defence if they flooded the opposition box when we attacked, but they don't do that either, not even when we were chasing goals yesterday. So many crosses across the goal this season without a blue shirt in sight.
I just hope we win the Cap cup so that Pelli goes with something, at least.
Pep put a lot of effort into Boateng's development and Mangala seems like an intelligent guy who wants to learn so I can see the possibilty of Manga being our Boateng :~
Injuries is just an excuse, and a poor one considering the apparent talent in the squad & those ready to come up from the academy.
Brilliant thread this, some really good points. I think it was Blueusa who said it was a bit of everything. The awful run of injuries, poor tactics, Pellers stubbornness with certain players, players fitness levels and lack of effort have all played a part in a very disappointing season. That said, if we can ditch Yaya play Fernando and Delph in the def two with Ferdandinho behind SAS, get Vinny and Mangala back we might be able to get back on track. Playing Yaya at the moment is killing us and teams are running us ragged in midfield.
Unless the players on the pitch are playing with injury, then it is not an excuse for performances like yesterday. The players on that pitch were more than capable of producing a result, and they, and the manager, are responsible for how shite they were.
I would only say Silva, who was playing with an injury, and Fernandinho looked jaded from being over played. The rest either underperformed or were woefully exposed by the system and tactics, or lack thereof. Even Fernandinho looking jaded is down to the fact that he is the midfield.
Injuries play an evident part in not being able to select the optimum starting 11 but we have excellent players, that are being exposed. Kompany would have been caught out and looked shite playing a high line against fast counters, with no cover. It was suicidal.
It's the ridiculous injuries that have potentially derailed our season
Never known anything like it
If we had a full strength squad we would be breezing this league
We have constantly had either injuries or players coming back from injury
So much so that we have barely had a settled first 11 since the beginning of the season
Look at Leicester yesterday..they played like a team..a consistent one who have been fortunate not to have any long term set backs on the physio table..coupled with the fact they are not fighting on all fronts for trophies..fit..rested and hungry for it..it doesn't matter how many world class individuals you have in your team..if there is no consistency you will lose as often as you win
It's the elephant in the room that nobody is seemingly acknowledging
We have been desperately unlucky with injury this season
