Fucking hell, we have 13 - yes, 13 - fit players with VK and Merlin both working their way back to fitness.

If the game had been scheduled for yesterday, then maybe Pellers would have picked a stronger lineup, but what would the moaners have said if Vinnie, Kun or Silva had been injured?

Give it a rest, for fuck's sake!

You give it a rest making excuses for fucks sake, we are supposed to be one of the top clubs in the world, not the premier league, the world so I'm told, and baling out of a prestigious competition is unacceptable !

There on a fucking plane, not exactly got free space to roam about in, if they had just played a full game it wouldn't be good having to sit on a plane for a significant period when they should be recovering to prepare for the next game.

Very proud of the way the kids played today, against ( on their day, and this was their day) one of the best teams in Europe. The skill, energy and commitment of the EDS lads was terrific. The result was as expected given the ridiculous scheduling in favour of the London clubs and Pellers job description being to progress in CL. Proud to be a Blue today and looking forward to our kids destroying PL teams in years to come ( given a decent goalkeeper, obviously!)

I know Angus Gunn played against the Rags yesterday but he could have showered, got the train down yesterday teatime, had a decent supper and have NOT let five in today! He might not have saved the pen but surely he would not have been any worse.

getting a fixture moved to Sunday when we have a match in Ukraine on Wednesday is unacceptable.
we did exactly the right thing today.
I thought the FA were supposed to perpetuate their teams in European competition. We got shafted. Today was unavoidable once the fixture was made.

Suck it up. We've prioritised the more important competition. Simple as that.

you truly are talking bollocks my friend - the next game is a vital game in our season - we could not afford another injury - we have not so job done - plus the young players who had their chance made the most of it and were excellent- the facup is just that a fuckin facup!! It was 1-1 on the half time ...It would be so disasterous to bring two 1st team players on the 2nd half and take some chanes of this ?
I m guessing no. The club just gave it away.
The answer is why we played with 1st team players in the previous rounds ?

This is just where I'm at thinkin'! We've had plenty of opportunity to try out everyone of those EDS players who started today for a substantial number of minutes. To fit them up away from home against a team that has just found something like the form with which they won the title smacks somewhat of crass ignorance.

I have no idea why the club indulged him and Mancini with their two players for every position mantra. They should have been forced to work with a squad of 18 senior players plus youth

This is apparently the way pep sees it , which will be a breath of fresh air

And for that reason MP better get it right for Kiev. We could all virtually pick his team for Wednesday because we know he is going to pick the older experienced players after today's venture. Well its up to them and how much they really want it now . I hate losing 3 in a row ,can't remember when that last happened .
These next 3 games will decide his immediate future - he has been here before so let's hope he brings it off .

To play 3 kids would have been ambitious.
To play 4 kids would have been foolish.
To play 6 kids was absolutely ridiculous.
Why not play Hart? How often does a keep need to be 'rested'?
He would have saved at least two of those goals today.
Why have VK & Sterling on the bench if you have no intention whatsoever of playing them?
Pellegrini didn't put two fingers up to the FA today he put two fingers up to his bosses.
He is a stubborn, arrogant man of very mediocre ability who should be drummed out of our club

I would have preferred if we had played the youth in the Capital one cup. The timing of that cup is poor and really crowds a period of the season where you're coming off a hectic Christmas schedule and starting to ramp up for Europe again. I would hope next year pep used it for some, of the younger players to gain experience. They are good enough, just not when played en masse.

Exactly, there would have been no issue had the game been played on Friday like MCFC asked.

I am not Manuel's biggest fan and will be relieved to see the back of him. But he got it absolutely right today. It would have been crazy to risk any of our main players in a game we could easily have lost with them all playing anyway.

The young players did us proud and it was good to see their speed of thought and technique. Luckily they won't be ruined by Pellegrini.

MdM was poor and I look forward to not seeing him again next year.

i don't care about the result. BBC won't move their precious TV deal, than i'm happy we let them down with playing the kids. i wish Pelle played Humpreys and Angelino from the start.

Pelle again show his naivety with formation. 4-4-2 against top team and playing away (instead 4-5-1, and compact the midfield). like what he have done with Delph, he once again put CM player out wide - Manu Garcia and Celina. it makes me wonder, if he likes to play wide player so much, why he don't he sign the right player at the first place? he should sign more winger besides Navas and Sterling.
