You know, people are criticising the senior players, and quite rightly in a way but, because most of those youngsters had never played against a top Premier League side before the senior players would have had to be working twice as hard to help them. It takes time to get into the PL frame of mind (yes I know it was an FA Cup match but it was two PL clubs) and some of those youngsters would have been overawed and, in the second half, would be getting tired because their usual matches are not played at that pace. JMHO

It was a gamble to start with that team, but a gamble we had to take.
Thought our youngsters did Well, only disappointment was the score line.
Joe needs to play in the final though.

No surprise with the result, I said before the game it would be a mullering.

Thought the young lads did well under the circumstances, let down by a couple of the more experienced players, Willy should never wear the shirt again, he really is a liability.

We tired in the second half and playing against a resurgent Chav side the outcome was as expected.

Onwards & upwards, we won't win the league, we should progress in the CL, but I pray to God we fucking slaughter them bin dipping c-nts next week.

Well done to the young lads today they kept going for 90 min's, no surprise with the result, would of liked the fa cup, next year then.

Selection was a Club decision not only Pellegrini. The club asked for it to be moved to saturday but BBC refused. So the BBC got what they deserved - "not a real game".
2 good things to come out of that game; young players getting experience and senior players not getting injured at the start of an important week.
People may not agree with the selection but you can understand why they did it.
The following players will now have had a week and a half recovery before Kiev; Hart, Kompany, Otemendi, Clichy, Fernandinho, Silva, Sterling, Aguero.
Ha, ha. You don't think Yaya will start in Kiev?

Embarrasing that the worst performers were all "first team players" Kolarov, Caballero, Fernando and Demichelis should have all left last season in truth.

The youngsters did alright just hope there is not too much mental damage.

I thought Cabellero, Zabaleta, Demichelis and Fernanado were the 4 poorest players on the pitch, its like they are waiting for God.

We can only judge this time next week....

Shearer said Barca didn't rest their players. Then sai d Crystal Palace must have fancied themselves beating Spurs as Spurs had played Thursday in the Europa League.

What a twat!!!

Barcelona don't need to rest their players as it's a two-team league.

Shearer was talking bollocks, as per usual!
