I think 99.9% would agree with you Ric. Unfortunately the man that picks the team is the 0.1%. Maybe Txiki will tell him to pick Joe.I think these quotes from Caballero were from an interview he did last week, prior to the Chelsea debacle so I wouldn't necessarily read too much into them.
Still think he'll play though, and it's the wrong decision in my opinion.
Like it!Pantilimon would have played if he hadn't gone to the press the day before saying he was leaving. Personally couldnt care less if it upsets the press/Caballero/Caballeros mum, he's shite and I want to win.
He got his angles wrong for that goal and his reaction time was appalling. The free kick was an embarrassment for a proffesional goalkeeper and the one that went through him I'd have expected any goalkeeper who's older than 14 to keep it out. The first wasn't really down to him and the other one wasn't a mistake, but again his angles could and should have been better, he made the goal bigger instead of smaller. If Pellegrini judges he' lost confidence and that the wobbles will be there on Sunday then he has to drop him, otherwise he will play him.
He looked a solid keeper in the other Cup games, and I think there has been an over-reaction to the goals he conceded. He's been blamed for goals which he could do nothing about eg the 5th. That one made him look daft, but could Hart do any better? Came at an angle which he could do nothing about.
It will be hard on Willy if he lets Joe play the final. Only joking. Totally different to Pantilimon in the Wigan final. He deserved to play that game and John Thomas of Argentina doesn't.
Do you actually think you're making a point?Id forgotten that we won the Wigan Cup Final 10 nil!
If Joe was a serious contender for Sunday then let's see a fantastic clean sheet from him tomorrow night!
Prick has some nerve there. If only he had it on the field rather than flapping like an 11 year old.Caballero has featured in every League Cup game this season and is set to feature between the sticks at Wembley on Sunday.
Previewing the encounter, he added: "I feel the confidence of the boss to bring me into this game. I try to enjoy it, and try to improve every week.

"I have to be ready for this date, which will be fantastic for us. I think it will be a great final.
"We must be ready for everything, even for penalties. Beating Liverpool will be fantastic but it won't be easy, so we must play well, defend well and be solid.
"The most important thing is to win, it doesn't matter how."
