Wilfried Bony 2015/2016 Performances

Bony is just not suited to our style of play. Not sure why we signed him to be honest albeit I suppose he was happy to play second fiddle to Aguero.

He would be much more effective for a team like Everton, Swansea or WHU.

Can't see him here next season, he will not suit Peps style either.

I agree to a certain extent but style of play doesn't come into it when you can't hit the target from 6 yards out fairly regularly.

Yep I totally agree, however, I would argue that he has never been that sort to instinctive striker who can snap up perhaps his only chance in a game. Those types of strikers are few and far between. Bony needs half a dozen chances in a game to perhaps put one away.

Clearly we agree he is not that well suited to us.

I agree when we signed him I thought it was a good move, shades of negredo,as he always gave us trouble with Swansea and scored against us often.must be different style feel sorry for him as he struggles with us.

i felt so much for him on saturday, i really dont know why cos he had a stinker, but i just did. looked lost. movement was good for his missed sitter from Clichy's cross and his through ball to aguero was decent but essentially he had a poor poor game.

Brenda isn't manager of Swansea and the guy they've got is doing quite well.
He will be in the summer. He is actively helping the caretaker manager now, and the manager they have got in for the rest of the season has crumbled under the pressure and is ill as fuck and not expected to do much more this season

I just watched the highlights; he did make a bad miss...would have been better putting his foot through the ball rather than trying to place it. He linked up well with Aguero for a first half chance. His assist was a pretty well weighted ball with good vision. I'm not going to slate him or try and big him up. Some of the comments are flippin ridiculous. I think he is trying to be a skillfull player but is more suited to bulldozing his way through defenders and smashing the ball in. The skill will come later Wilfried. Every blue shirt deserves support. Look what happened to Willy.

Sneaky little push in the back from the Villa defender ( Clark? ) just as the cross came to him, probably still should have got more on it but think the push had the desired effect.

I thought he may have seen the Clichy cross late due to players around him but on telly you can see he had a clear view of the ball which makes it even worse.

The pass to Kun for his first wasn't getting there either which was his one potential plus point of the game, only Micah being unlucky resulted in the goal.

Probably won't do any of us good slagging him off, he'll be gone in the summer, Pellers needs to get him back on the injured list so his value doesn't collapse and so Nacho can be second striker.

It was under hit , world class it certainly wasn't .

If that was a better team today his performance and pathetic attempts at goal could have cost us.

Not just me but a large section of the South Stand cat called him for the time he was on the pitch.

Why he shows loyalty to a player who will cost us points and not gain us any is a mystery .

You would have thought he'd play his best strikers if he wants to win anything else this season and not this guy- never ever a City player .

All players need match fitness for the run in. If Aguero & Kelechi get injured whats the point in having Bony if he has been left on the bench. He might surprise us all & get a hat trick next game. What will you be saying then hey?

the look on his face when he does something shit is annoying. Always blaming the pass into him and then feigns movement towards the ball. As if he's thinking, that was a bad pass mate.

he does have some good touches at times, but ultimately he's been found out at this level. For a big strong lad he lets centre backs knick it off him way too easily, Realize what you are good at pal, stick out your arse, keep the ball and get in the box

If it was the BBC highlights, it didn't show two others, both headers from a central position around the 6 yard line, both missed by yards. He was awful, how he got to half time I've no idea, never mind getting another 15 minutes, whilst off the ball his movement was virtually non existent.
