I wouldn't go as far as saying a coup, was anyone else willing to spend £25-£28M on him? I didn't expect him to be this bad but I do remember many on this forum saying he isn't good enough at the time. And ye Chelsea do love ending an attacking players ability haha!
 
I was watching the match with a mate who told me he's got a mate who owns a landscape gardening company and that Bony is one of their clients.

Anyway apparently last week Bony came home in the afternoon in his Lamborghini dressed in his City tracksuit whilst this mate's mate was doing the gardens. He said Bony went inside his house and re-emerged 5 minutes later and started doing warm up laps around the mini football pitch he's got and 10 minutes later a personal trainer turned up.

The gardener fella said that Bony then started a punishing fitness circuit which lasted well over an hour. I was shocked to hear this but impressed that Bony is taking his fitness and form so seriously. We all know he's playing for his future and I suspect he knows this too. He seems a very nice fella and he's obviously trying his best, but alas he's not proved himself good enough for where we want to be.

He chooses to stay on the edge of the box when the ball is coming into the area. He isn't a poacher. He's hopelessly out of form and confidence-he is obviously a better player than we have seen. Pellegrini will have to leave him out or persevere.

You are not the only one though. I thought he looked a good player from the snap shots you see on MOTD. It was only when I paid attention to the African Nations Cup I had reservations about his signing and then I read a Swansea forum and although the fans loved him and wished him no ill-feeling many highlighted areas he may struggle, similar to what I had seen at the ACON.

The thing is his signing was based on his form playing upfront on his own at Swansea. When we signed him we often played a front two so arguably that would not suit him and this year we are playing one up top and he was never going to replace Aguero. Either way you have to question the though process about signing him. Either way he was not suited to the club. Interesting the previous summer, 5 months prior to us signing him, pretty much all the top sides bought a striker and yet Bony was not signed.

It sounds like he's trying everything he can to find his form, whilst some players would be bothered about a loss of form but would do sweet FA about it outside of their regulation club training regime.

If this is the case with Bony, its admirable that he's going the extra mile but its obviously not making much difference as today he was useless. Nice guy, but just not good enough for City as it stands.
