We'd see a lot of moaning about the cost of 6p per loyalty point
The forum would be white hot!
They could even suggest if you get your ticket today (or already have one) you get a thousand points, Sunday you get 800, Monday 600, Tuesday you get 400 and up to kick off on Wednesday you get 200 points. After that you get 10 points max, platinum or not!

I knew I should have gone for the new Membership and Loyalty post, I would certainly have incentivised sales!

To attract bigger crowds, much better idea than increasing prices

It's difficult for example you could say cup schemers and those who go to home and/or away cup games should get priority in any cup competition, as sitting near me is a bloke who has always let people use his card for away games, buys platinum so his loyalty points are 1000+ mine and yet never bothers with cup games, if he cannot be arsed going to the rounds, should he be last in line for a final ticket? Could you say the old ticket stub system was fair you went home and away in cups you were rewarded with a better chance of a ticket, or should it be on loyalty points only?

No matter how it's done someone won't be happy

Know what Liverpool don't have? The league cup.

Am I imagining it or did you have to collect tokens out of home and away programme s to qualify for tickets at one point 1970's ?

Was too young to use it but did you hand them in each time,or just collect them all season or what happened ?

stick them on the sheet as many as you needed for a particular time I think was only little myself.

On another note why did the season books never go alphabetical first game would be page f then z for the next then q and so on why not a then b then c etc? always wondered.

Iirc you collected them and had to hand them in if you wanted a ticket for a game, they were stamped so that you couldn't use for that particular game again but you kept the sheet to hand in for the next one.
The following g season you got a new sheet with new tokens, that were different to the previous season.
It was much easier with the stubs, back in those days I didn't drink at the game so always remembered to keep them.
I had five for Burnley away in 99 and wanted two tickets for Wigan away in the play off semi, you needed 16 stubs, but my younger daughter only had 14, so I put two Burnley and two from another game in with hers and two from Burnley in mine. Hahaha they counted the stubs but didn't check for which game they were and hey presto she was sat on the wall at the front at Wigan and on the photos.

Thinking back we used to get programmes for people, they must of wanted the tokens.
Early token whoring !!
Think I used to get away programmes from a shed thing in front of the main stand ,near the pink final van that printed pinks with no full times in

Didnt the season tickets have numbers on that you only found out at the ground ,but they picked numbers at random to stop touting ?

I've openly said I'm a member of the SC and have been, off and on, since 1972. Perhaps its because I've been a member for so long that I don't appreciate branches that take the piss whilst others are above reproach?

Maybe your getting confused with how they put the halftimes up didn't team a play team b and they stuck numbers next to the letters to show the score on an advertising board ,or have I just dreamt it up ?
