It sold out on 15,500 points and I have 15,240 points so only just missed out. Luckily, I got a spare off someone but that's the first game since Bolton away in 2003 which I've wanted to go to but not qualified with my own points. If I'd wanted to go to Groclin the following season I wouldn't have qualified for that either but I think that is the last one before Bournemouth that I didn't have enough points for. Every other away match I've attended in the meantime I've never had a problem getting one with my points total.
One bloke I spoke to on the train down got his ticket through his supporters club branch - he's got less points than me and his branch only got 2 tickets. The reason he got one is because he's attended every SC meeting at his branch in the last 3 years plus he's been to loads of away games through them. He said another guy at the same branch missed out despite having more points because he tends to apply for his own tickets rather than through the branch.
A poster on here said they bagged a couple of tickets in the City end at the last minute just by walking up to the ground and asking around.
There were also 4 seats empty in the row behind me which I found quite galling considering how many points the match sold out at - maybe there was a perfectly innocent explanation such as a group of people that couldn't make the game at the last minute but it wouldn't surprise me if those tickets had found their way on to one of those ticket websites but didn't get sold due to the extortionately high prices that were being charged (after all, it's only Bournemouth away in the league - it's not exactly the Champions League final)
