Ticket Collection Paris

Ask away, but I can only speak for myself and not the rest of the team
It's fair to say that I believe the ticket forum should be open, although not all the mod team agree.
I originally found the forum because I was looking for Schalke tickets, fortunately my daughter bought two on our points just before it sold out.
This wasn't introduced to stop points whores, desperate don has it right, it is for control, no other reason. The gentlemen brought in to do this has a career linked to controlling football fans, not to stop points whoring.
My freedoms are not up for discussion though. Being made to cross the road because someone doesn't like the look of someone else, ask the lovely Spanish police, is more than I'm prepared to put up with, so travelling half way across Paris when I have other things I'd rather be doing is way past acceptable. You may find that acceptable and that is your perogative, all I'm asking is when you happily give up your freedom don't ask that I should give up mine.
'Over the top' is a relative term. You may think I'm over the top, I think I'm the mild mannered janitor.

I supposed I my view is clouded because of one incident and perhaps it shouldnt' be. The first time we played Barca tickets were snapped up. The second time this board was full of lads stating they weren't going again, it was a shithole etc etc but it somehow sold out at a higher points total. I went to both. The first was brilliant, the second full of scum lobbing missiles at Grandads. I will put up with pretty much anything if it helps keep those scum away. I accept people have their own ideas of freedom and i am not having a go, that was too much and it sickened me. I have seen plenty of violence before but not cowardly attacks on old men.

It is here to stay so I hope they improve the system and the obvious thing to do is talk to fans because I bet they dont know about Germany like you and others have mentioned and it will be utter chaos

It's fucking bizarre - talk of controlled environments, etc. I appreciate that after the Paris attacks security in general will have been stepped up but I bet no other set of people apart from football fans have to go through all that shite when visiting Paris. Not a fucking chance.

You are right it is a disgrace and I believe that PSG have similar policing overkill for every home fixture. We all just go for a laugh and a beer but to be confronted with a mass of storm troopers is very intimidating.

Well I think we have our answer in the Maggie comment.
There's little point in carrying on the discussion

This was very tongue in cheek.

Unfortunately every club has knobheads following them and over the years I've seen some really shit behaviour. I would certainly question how some of these get tickets for these games, especially when they are in large groups.
There seems to be an increasing amount of 'randoms' who turn up for the 'glamorous' games and you see some trouble. However I believe these people should be dealt with severely instead of us all being 'dealt' with.

I would hope so mate after the way Hillsborough was dealt with by her, her press secretary and her police force

I wasn't there but will take your word for it.

The elephant in the room here is the way we distribute tickets and for me and this wont be popular, the system is let down and abused by Supporters Clubs, not all probably but enough, allowing their allocation to fall into the wrong hands.

Its a system I've used before to get tickets to an away game when I've not qualified and its still happening today.

Straight up loyalty points system with the allocations to SC stopped.

I must've missed the bit where 40-odd thousand PSG fans have to pick their tickets and wristbands up from a hotel before every home game while going through security checks into the bargain. It looked to me like only City fans had to do that last week. Well, those City fans that travelled independently of course.

We are not going to start a witch hunt against Supporters Clubs again are we?

I help run the mid cheshire supporters club, and frankly getting tired by the stick SC's get.

Understandable mate as I'm sure you run it correctly but not all do and tickets end up in the wrong hands, frequently.

Definitely sure that this is not from supporters clubs. Maybe have a look on the Facebook page that someone has set up for selling and exchanging tickets.
