What was the atmosphere like v PSG?

Was in SS 317 and thought it was the best CL atmosphere there's been. Great night and well done to the lads for giving us a European semi to look forward to.
I heard Colin on Talk Shite on my way home. I suspect his full name is an anagram of Neil Warnock.

awesome night - proper rocking - we had an 8 month pregnant girl sat next to us that we were getting concerned about re:stress levels - good job KDB scored or the attendance count could have gone up by one by the 93rd minute

First half wasn't that bad but it was definitely better second half

After de bruyne scored the atmosphere was something else

What a night, what an atmosphere, what a result. Our fans are the best! Never known so many people stay behind to clap the team, and sing another rendition of 'hey Jude'! Amazing!!

I heard him just before I arrived home! He went on about being in the family stand & how City had given out vouchers for the kids meal & yet there were empty seats around them & he could see the SSL3 & it was practically empty! I had looked all round the ground specially & he was definitely lying, the toe rag!

The atmosphere was fantastic & hardly anyone left before full time.
City fan (?) just on Talkshite giving out loads over the number of empty seats in the family and at top of South stand. Couldn't see any on telly. Was he talking crap?

I was in the Car on Asda Car Park when that Dick Split rang up and I was fucking fuming If he his a City fan ( which I doubt) then he needs to get the fuck away from our club and stay away , even if there was empty seats (which there wasn't) you do not ring up that horrible prick Goldstien bleating about it, the fuck tard even said he'd took photo's to prove it. Wankstain.

Daily Fail headline:

Rio Ferdinand slams Manchester City fans: It's their duty to inspire the team... they did not start singing until the 76th minute

Just watched some of the match on BT after having been in the heart of the south stand. The mics they have simply do not do us justice. Atmosphere was brilliant for the most part inside the stadium.

It's just ridiculous and infuriating to all of us with sore throats right now. At the end of the day we won the tie. The way that headline reads, you'd think we'd just been thumped 3-0 or something.

Fuck what the 'pundits' are saying. Thought it was great tonight, last 15 minutes was loudest I've heard it in a long time.

Yes, what an idiot he was. Said he had pictures to prove it too, and City were an embarrassment. The only embarrassment was him.

There were about ten empty seats dotted about just in front of me. Then 10 minutes into the game, a load of kids wearing Champions League kit all appeared, having completed their jobs as mascots, or flag carriers or something.

There were a few French dotted about too. They got a bit excited when they got near our goal once in the first half, but we heard nothing of them after that.

We're you sat in el3?

I was in block 121 Colin bell and the atmosphere was fantastic especially second half everybody got behind the team. It went nuts after the goal. I don't care what the media says a bunch of bitter rags and dippers trying to sour our achievement. Looking forward to the draw on Friday now a very happy blue!

Anyone who was at the game tonight, and has heard what they were saying on TV, and who still doesnt believe there is a media agenda against City is either in need of treatment, or a Rag. No if's no buts.

I completely agree theirs definitely an agenda against city has anyone got this recorded on BT ? Theirs not just the snide bias about the crowd and atmosphere theres also subliminal stuff as well and I know because I have studied marketing and advertising and theirs subliminal messaging in the BT programme aswell!!

I'm also fairly sure Uefalona thought PSG would get rid of us at this stage as well! Do you think uefa want city in the latters stages of the competition when we continue to boo their glorious anthem at the beginning of their showpieces? Imagine if we did that in the final!!

Not that I mind hard working city fans booing their anthem! You think after I've paid £60 for my ticket they would at least let me have a pint at half time!

If anyone has this programme recorded on BT pm me up so I can point something out!

It's not a media agenda, it's simply poor punditry.
It's become an urban myth that City have poor attendances, just like it's an urban myth about Anfield's special European nights.
It's now because an easy talking point to make, and there need only be a dozen empty seats for a commentator to allude to it. It's lazy and predictable.

The game is full of cliches...

- Anfield's famous European nights
- Newcastle's amazing atmosphere
- Stoke City on wet wednesday night
- The West Ham way
- The Emptihad
- Everton, the people's club

it's just nonsense and the pundits pander to it, mostly out of their own ignorance.

I really don't believe they are out to get us, they look for empty seats and find what they are looking for - just like you will find hooligans at Millwall if you look for them, or you will find lovely happy family images at Norwich.
It's unfortunate that we're being tagged with the 'poor support' claim, but it doesn't make it accurate.

All part of the media narrative, fantastic atmosphere tonight but soon lied about by some dickhead prick who gets to write in the name of some laughable paper (not journalist).

Because a load of Norwegian and Irish tourists sing some depressingly morose song and display some fucking infantile flags about some people they never knew, we'll get told that this is some kind of great European night..

So great that the media will prepare a montage BEFOREHAND.
Dortmund vs Liverpool, Klopp mania, so much 'respect' between the two clubs for singing YNWA.. blah blah blah.
And just to make sure, we'll load up the punditry with former Liverpool players who'll express nothing but impartiality.
Oh, and we'll mention the stadium expansion a dozen times, and predict how more amazing the atmosphere is going to be when completed.

We should start a new thread tomorrow night... Liverpool Bingo, and see how many of the predicted phrases happen....[/QUOTE]

Watched on Tv3 in Ireland atmosphere sounded great, BT probably turned the sound down to suit their agenda.

Fx mics down & eq dull with commentators turned up. Just watched a recording. Later sharper eq & crowd turned up. I recon someone higher up had a word & said 'why the fuck does it sound like Poznan in the fucking ground & Old Trafford on the tv? You are spoiling the spectacle for the viewers' so they adjusted it. **** panel probably watched it in a soundproofed room listening on speakers.

I used to think talk of an agenda was stupid & it was just down to lots of random rags & scousrs etc but tonight is really challenging that thought.

It was fucking rocking & I couod hear the North Stand noise from the South stand, so no way would the tv mics not pick up the sound of the whole ground unless it was set up not to.
