John Stones

I've heard that his agent is pushing hard for the move. Could drive the price down a bit if Stones forces the issue with Everton.

Think we'll go for both him and Laporte?

I do, although hard to fathom how much money we have to spend, in terms of needing so much more in other areas.

Laporte was seemingly not on the priority list when the reports first leaked out of Spain, although something has changed that in the last month or so.

It seems certain we are trying to drive this average age down to somewhere around 22-23?

Yeah, was going to say it doesn't bode well for Mangala. Which is a shame, as he's been good recently.

'Good', yeah. Feel sorry for the lad, but more a kinda Lescott good?

Which, depending on your perspective of Joleon, means he can't pass water but is good in a physical match-up?

Regardless, I hope we can be cute and use Mangala as a decent makeweight for somebody else.

The loss we will make on him, wouldn't make for good reading in simple cash figure terms.

I'll be disappointed if that's the case,i love his attitude and his performances are getting better,i think we'll regret shifting him.

Also Denayer?

Typical City to persevere with a player whilst he adapts to life in a new country, then sell him as he's on the verge of proving his doubters wrong. His performances are on an upward curve and there may well be more to come from him. Lets find out before we end up selling him and regretting it.

I think there's a bit more to Manga's game than J Lo's but changes are needed so we need to get some players out.

Good, good, but what about Pogba...? ;)

That's the point, really, isn't it?

Doesn't make them bad players, just better served being moved on, so we can effect the required changes.

Poor scouting, that's where the buck should always stop.

One of Mangala and Otta have to go. I think Mangala will be less suited to Pep but he will be a good buy fro someone for £25 million. Would like Stones, Laporte, Vinny and Deneyer, Ottamendi as a back 5 but is that too many players? Will Deneyer be promoted to Right back with Sagna?

I agree. But I do accept he's probably never going to be the ball playing defender that Pep likes. Mind you on that basis Otamendi should be out of the door before Mangala.
