The battle for 4th place

I don't trust Pellegrini and will be delighted to see the back of him, had we stayed with Mancini we would have been talking dynasty instead we are scrambling for top 4. I expect we will get beat tomorrow and miss top 4, he will play YaYa who has been on holiday for months before Iheanacheo who is our future! We haven't beaten a team in top 8 all season so why would I be optimistic?

we haven't, not good enough! Not beaten a team in top 8: Leicester, Spurs, Arsenal?, United, West Ham, Liverpool or Southampton

Amen!

On the plus side a lot of the parasites should not be playing and although I would not expect a performance from the players, for the fans, their own self-interest (playing in the champs lge, possibly bonuses) may even motivate them some what.

I'm guessing they will be seriously out of pocket on the bonus front if they fuck it up but that will no doubt be compensated for by the bonuses they earned for getting to the semi of the CL.

Personal pride should be enough but we will see...

Yeah we should have stuck by the guy that saw us embarrassed in the CL

Genuinely believe if we'd have kept Mancini we'd have at least another title.

At least in his last season we were comfortably 2nd.

If we'd have got players who would work with Mancini we'd have been laughing.

If that is the case we are doomed. Personal pride is something which has been missing on to many occasions this year. Hopefully we will not play anyone who is aware they have no future once Pep gets here, which possibly was not the case at Southampton.

And history has proved Mancini right. To think we swapped him for this guy who taken us back years.

Exactly mate, sacking Mancini was such a diabolical decision, the fans loved him, we chanted his name with passion, our very own Bobby Manc, gods sake his name was almost Man City!

The management should have backed him financially and personally and booted out any players who weren't willing to tow the line

I liked Mancini but is everyone forgetting how much we said "there's no plan B" when teams worked out how to defend against us, we were more defensively solid(I do think he would have done a better job at freshening up the defense) but we were looking very uninspired going forward. We might not have lost some of the games we have but he was a lot more cautious than Pellers so we'd have won less games too which is no good. Plus Pellers brought more calm and unity to the dressing room, I appreciate what Pellers brought in that regard, he handles the press better too(the owners were looking for those personal qualities).

We'd have missed out on setting the CL alight and the excitement of struggling/failing to make top 4.
Not one for the comparisons of the two, both had faults, but to spin Pelle as an upgrade is wide of the mark and at best highly debatable.
Tbh honest I don't think I have done any spinning mate. If I have point it out to me.
