The battle for 4th place

The players have led us to believe they wanted to qualify for MP, well now's the time to fuckin prove it.

What will be interesting is Swansea rested players at West Ham and are planning to do again including Williams and Siggy. Wait til the scum media get hold of this.
Why are they resting players its the last match of the season or am I missing something here???

An unexpected lifeline and final throw of the dice to secure a champions league place. Surely we cannot loook this gift horse in the mouth and fail at the expense of the rags when a draw is all we need. It has been a pathetic 2 seasons with a paultry Carling cup to show for our efforts, Maintaining our C/L status is the minimum requirement at this stage and then Pellers can fuck right off.

If nothing else you'd think the big juicy bonuses they'd be getting for finishing in the CL rather than the Europa would add a bit of incentive.
And the players looking round at the near empty stadium on Sunday evening should give them a bloody good idea of how pissed off fans are. It is in their hands to redeem themselves.

you don't it's bad year when it's a relief for holding onto 4th place.

As shite as we've played, and as many injuries as we've had, and for all the consternation surrounding the managerial transition, and for a few matches where we were jobbed by officials (especially Everton) . . . 4th (if we get it), an LC trophy and the semis of the CL is a somewhat remarkable haul when you think about it. "Not good enough" sure has come up in the world.

For the money we have spend? Nah not having that

I think you missed my point. I'm not saying it's good for the money we spent. I'm saying for all that's gone wrong this season (a lot of it of our own making; some of it bad luck or made by others), it's incredible we've gotten as much as we did out of it.

If I'd told you at the beginning of the season that one Prem team wouldn't beat any of the Prem top 6 once but would finish 4th, be in the semis of CL and win a cup, what would you have said? "Bollocks" probably.

Thanks West Ham- great occasion and performance. Now it is up to the team to get at least a point against Swansea and put this mini series to bed.

A point? We can still get 3rd.

Admittedly only if Aston Villa win a game. But you know how much Arsenal love finishing 4th.

Yup fourthitis, delusion etc etc, the medical list goes on. A point will be the minimum requirement to finish in the Top 4, if we can finish third, which is certainly not beyond the realm of possibility, even better. The goal for the game like every other game will be to win but our situation with regards to qualifying for the champions league next season is clear.

A comfortable win, a shock Villa win at the Emirates, the scum losing and finishing 8th ahead of losing the cup final and Sergio winning the Golden Boot would be quite nice.
Would like to see the rags finish 6th, that way they have to put up with Europa league football.
