Not seeing what everyone is foaming at the gash for, over martial. Defenders dont actually defend against him. They stand off him and let him do what he wants.

It's the same with De Gay-boy, the vast majority of his routine, sorry, world class saves is him doing the typical Spanish thing of making a camera save. Granted he's very good at the whole posing thing but he only
Makes about 6 world class saves a year, the others are one he should save regardless.
Martial cost them £54million for a reason but when defenders actually put in against him he goes missing as does every rag expect fellani.

And those wishing we'd signed him instead of sterling get a fucking grip and support the lad.

Couldn't agree more!

I reckon Martial will struggle next season, he is easy to defend against if you don't play a high-line and double mark him. He only seems to come to life when he has space.

Martial looks like he could be good. But i've never seen a player get so lucky with bobbles and fortunate bounces when running at players.

Regarding Rashford, i think they all need to calm down a bit (a lot) with the hype. We've seen it all before with them lot, next big thing etc.... He's been anonymous in as many games he's been decent in.

It's funny because one of their best players (IMO) Ashley Young is surpass to requirements and criminally underused.

LVG's "philosophy"

If indeed (fingers-crossed) the vermin do fail to qualify for CL football, will this be the final nail in the coffin for the Maureen rumours? Would he really want to go to a club with no money, lots of debt, a poor squad, Europa League to offer, and the spectre of the GPC overseeing everything that happens at the swamp? Knowing that just over the road his long-time rival and arch Nemesis will be in a position to pick and choose the very best of the best, AND almost certainly offer Champions League football as well? And would Maureen relish going toe to toe with Pep, Wenger, Potchettini, Klopp, Conte, Koeman? etc? I don't think so. With the new monies coming into the Prem it's going to make it even harder for one club to just wave wads of notes about and call the shots, as in days of yore, because other clubs will also have a few bob with which to entice 'name' players too.
And despite the negativity over the Welsh wanker's personal life, would the club really allow him to sever all ties with them just for a short-term fix like Maureen?

I think the rags are at a crossroads now, and they are going to have to have a long hard think about the direction they're taking if they don't want to drop completely out of the reckoning.

Agree, the break for the kids has been Uniteds sale of deadwood and injuries. They have had to bed the young uns in due to lack of squad strength.

Their u21 side is very good. They are ok for now, 2 or 3 years thry are fucked and have to rely on buying promising kids from other clubs at the age of 17 or so

First things first, you lot please get the result at Swansea.

Now that said, I disagree they are "ok". I'd say they're on thin ice, and another season out of the Champions League and they'll basically become us. Finishing 7th the other season was a shock. Slowly, it starts to become normal and then they're not THE destination for top talent wanting to come to England.

They may be saved by Wenger leaving Arsenal (I think they'll collapse honestly), but hopefully another club (hi!:) ) fills' that void.

Also would be interesting so see correlations of U-21 teams vs. Senior teams. Surely it's not a given that a good U-21 team = a boss senior team after a few years? Otherwise Sunderland might be the next Leicester.

I'd just take the check and go chill in Paris. Create some new enemies for kicks. However, maybe not enough drama. I don't think he can resist another chance to scrap with Guardiola. Issue is whether the rags want him, from the outside looking in it seems their powers that be are genuinely conflicted on that one.

I suppose it depends what we're disagreeing on. There is no doubt Martial looks a good player, looks far better than Sterling at the moment and is an excellent prospect, but World Class? No. He isn't even close. That's not to say he won't become a very good footballer and he may elevate himself to that status one day but he's certainly not there now.
Ok, I wasn't the guy who said he was world class, he certainly isn't that and has quite a ways to go to earn that tag.

Man United hero Cristiano Ronaldo agrees deal… he is desperate for Old Trafford return
