So you live in Australia and you can accept all the foreigners coming into Britain? I walk down my high street and it's like being in Lithuania, if we stay in the eu will be over run with them. I used to work with a polish guy, qualified electrician and a nice bloke. He didn't get on with polish people in England because he didn't think it was right them being here with no qualifications of any sort, which I agree with.

Do you realise that this is not the case in the rest of Europe and, therefore, the rest of Europe does not see it as a European problem but as a British problem.
Which it is.

In work benefits lie at the heart of the issue. they are a ridiculous idea and need to end, but that is the UKs responsibility, not the EUs.
 
If we leave the EU we can let in as many immigrants as we like from anywhere we like.

If we stay in the EU we have no say in how many people choose to come here from other EU countries, including places like Romania and Bulgaria where wages are low and prospects are bleak.

But other countries in the EU do control it, so the UK can too. BUT IT CHOOSES NOT TO.
It chose not to when these countries joined the EU and it chooses not to now.

There is no evidence that the outers will be in charge after the referendum and therefore no indication that the policy will change on a Brexit.

I wonder who the next 'independent' economic celebrity to threaten us with our legs falling off or growing an extra head if we vote leave will be?
Apparently well have a recession if we brexit. This will be a shock after all the recession free years we've enjoyed as EU members (lol).

I agree that there's a lot wrong with the EU and I've found myself considering voting out, but with regards to TTIP, our government is one of the biggest cheerleaders for it in Europe. It's the French and the Germans that have put the brakes on it. Despite the scandalous veil of secrecy theyve tried to hide it behind, it's looking increasingly likely that it's not going to go through now. There's no doubt though that in the event of a brexit our own government will do everything they can to fully replicate it and with the same level of snidey deals going on behind closed doors. One could rightly argue that it'd be at least our own democratically elected government unleashing that kind of hell on us, but I just can't get past the idea that this kind of thing will probably be even worse if our current government are the ones that take us out

You may well be right but seeing as there is fuck all transparency then I've got no way of checking that. Secondly, we can all vote out Cameron et al if they pushed it through and the people thought it was bollocks.

We have zero say (as do the MEP's) on things going on at policy level in the EU. The fact they can't even write down what they read is fucking scandalous. It's the sort of thing we take the piss out of North Korea for.

That reads like the 40 a day smoker going from doctor to doctor not liking being told he has to give up. Maybe a doctor will come out and say smoking is healthy but maybe they won't
 
Having received a mailer from that tory coont saying 'remain' I trust that all camerroon haters will now vote 'leave'?

I accept globalisation, free movement of labour etc yes , unless As mentioned to AC yesterday a country is prepared to address all the issues it would face if it stopped . People keep bandying around that schools and hospitals are going down hill because of immigrants, whereas it is the health and ageing of local populations, obesity, etc combined with underfunding that will kill hospitals and a pathetic lack of respect, parental responsibility, the underpayment and under skilling of teachers due to funding that is killing education
