Australian Top Gear has 3 Australians, US Top Gear has 3 Americans, UK Top Gear has 1 Brit, 1 American and 1 German. Why can the UK not have a UK perspective on motoring not an international view? I enjoyed the last presenters, as many here have said it was getting a bit predictable but it was fun and entertaining. I will not be making the effort to watch the new series after reading the comments on social media.

Top Gear was nothing more than a sitcom with three blokes and the cars were just a reason for them to be there. Clarkson the loud mouth bigoted Oaf. Hammond the little one who was just there. And May the sensible one who would occasionally be a bit of mischief. Stick some eye candy in the audience and hey presto.
Evans knows that a 50/50 love/hate reaction is a certain hit. Time will tell.

The problem is that we haven't seen the "love" half of that yet. All I've seen so far are people who hated it and people trying to convince themselves that it wasn't that bad.

For the record, I thought it was shit. I didn't get the whole UK vs. USA thing at all. Why did they have to drive Reliant Robins to Blackpool first? It made no sense.
