We'd be alright with Laporte for now. Otamendi might be given another year because of his price tag. Couldn't really say the same about Eliaquim, he is atrocious on the ball which is not the Pep way. So maybe we might go in for another CB if Pep has other plans Denayer (which I think he does).Laporte and VK is a really nice combo at CB.
-VK being mr unhealthy, we have Denayer, Mangala, and Ota all as back ups.
I really would prefer we loan/sell Ota over Mangala. I see the Frenchmen has having far more upside, and he is a physical presence, but he's young and can really develop. Ota...prob not.
Think we will go after another CB or be content?

according to who mateMet his release clause, apparently.
Laporte, Stones, Otamendi, Kompany and Denayer (who can also play right back or defensive midfielder). Looks like a fantastic set of options to me.
Given that Kompany is unfortunately injured most of the time, we need three top centre halfs. Kompany simply can't be relied on anymore, I'm sure he'll come in and be brilliant for a few games, then get injured again.
I don't think Laporte coming in means we aren't after Stones anymore, I think we're after both.
This deal will mean no Stones.according to who mate
I can see Stones going to United.Anyone else get the feeling we're going for Stones earlier than we need our next CB purchase so that we have that sorted early at the expense of other prem teams not getting Stones who could potentially become a world beater yet? I say this with the presumption we've tied Laporte up already.
