I meant tough negotiator as doing everything they can to keep the player. That wouldn't make sense by shortening the injury length, which encourages clubs interested.At the moment there is no guarantee the lad will make a full recovery or when this will be.
It is a bad injury and if they are making positive noises re an injury recovery I would be even more suspicious given they are tough negotiators.
If the club I advise was trying to sign a player with this injury I would tell them to forget the transfer until there has been a full assessment of the player once he has fully recovered from injury. This will not happen in the next 3-4 months if indeed he has a fracture dislocation of the ankle. Fact.
Scans alone do not tell the story. You need to fully examine and asses the player.
