Yawn. Ara's the guy who led the fight back against smears about the NHS in the last US Presidential race when the Republicans had to eat humble pie. He's also a pioneering surgeon but I guess you wouldn't be interested in that!
Such a shame that non-EU immigrants are treated differently from EU immigrants; we may have more people of his caliber and less Romanian pick pockets.

The 'Remainers' remind me of the pro leave mob in the Scottish Referendum. Nasty ,shouty people unable to accept they may be wrong. I am still undecided but having seen our glorious Chancellor tell Andrew Neil that if we leave 'we'll lose control of our economy ' is unbelievable- what good is he then.. Along with Neil dissecting Camerons blatant lies to Turkey supporting then distancing himself shows these people cannot be trusted. When all else fails they merely attack Farage-pretty pathetic

I'm for the Union but It's those same SNP voting Scots who have decimated Labour at the ballot box North of the border. Probably working class people who feel Labour have left them - a bit like the response to Ed Miliband in England

You're far too kind.

Looks like I got my posters mixed up! Credit, where credit due mate!;) Those comments have stayed in my mind over anything else I've read this past week! ;) thanks SWP's....I need a Pep signing to get me back in the transfer forum!!;)

Algarve's in the EU Gelsons Dad! Some people are moving there because they dislike immigrants!

I can personally vouch for a large chunk of the ex pat community in Cyprus stating immigration as the reason they left the UK. I am pretty sure they become more racist together in the sun

I would class a fair few of them as white supremacists rather than your casual racists

Now tanned supremacists I expect!

Slightly off topic I would of thought in your industry changes to financial services legislation and tax regimes linked to eu investments would create a lot of opportunities as an IFA ( I have never worked in that field) if the uk left? In my previous employment volatility was Christmas come early, churn and burn if you know what I mean :-)
Volatility is a friend of the hedge fund, it's worrying for Joe Highstreet and his life savings/pension in the short term.

Overall it wouldn't make too much difference but it's one of those things one would prefer not to have deal with.

I know what you mean about that Brits abroad mentality. I think part of it is also trying to convince each other that the UK is shit so they don't get as "homesick".

Yeah it's weird, I know one of them really well, you could say he is like a father to me, he left leafy Cheshire because our weather is rubbish. Now a few years later is because of immigrants, really? Apart from the Chinese chippy I don't remember too many none indigenous knocking about his way

Haha. Yes I cover Cheshire as part of my job and I think it's fair to say that White English dominates. Even some of the Indian restaraunts don't employ anybody Asian!

I watched the Andrew Neil video and thought Osborne held his own. Neil alway follows the same tactic of asking for obscure information that at first glance feels like the interviewee should be able to answer - then constantly repeats the question. Not really in the public interest IMHO.

I didn't see the Cameron footage and yes it's embarrassing for him if that's what he said. However, he was trying to get concessions from the EU at the time so couldn't exactly say that we are beholdent to the rest of the EU!!

Quite.

He was about to go into negotiations to try to gain concessions and people honesty expect him to say "it would be an unmitigated disaster if we left and I'm going to campaign to stay in no matter what. Oh, and please an I have some concessions." Get real. His only hope of gaining anything was to suggest we might leave if he came away empty handed.

I can't say that view reflects the areas where we live, maybe around albufeira there may be a few but generally people found the cost of living cheaper here and standard of life better. The topless pissed expat Brit you see in the Costa del sol is far less prevelant here. Used to have to drive to Gibraltar a lot for work and could never wait to see the sign for Portugal Upon arriving in Seville coming back.

Osborne has just been ripped to pieces by Andrew Neil on the BBC and i do mean ripped to pieces with Cameron and his utter lies and 180's shown up for what they are.

Hilarious to see Cameron in November 2015, thats right, November 2015 telling business leaders it was a complete fallacy that the UK would suffer if we left the EU.

Your total bitterness towards Cameron and the Tories prevents you from seeing anything impartially. Why are you so bitter? Has Dave done something to hurt you personally?

Funny you should bring them up. The EU was in favour of penal tariffs on cheap Chinese steel imports, in an effort to protect European steel businesses. But the deal was quashed, because the UK veto'd it. Yes, the UK.

If we gave more power to Europe, our steel industry would have been protected. You could not make it up.

so you want to support the Brish PM who denies vetoing tarrifs on Chinese steel? A PM who denied he had done this? A PM who says he tried to get the EU to impose tarrifs but failed!

The only truth Cameron has ever told is that "we're all in this together". Yes, the EU and the British Givernment are in it together, they are all at best being duplicitous at worst are down right liars. Take your choice.

I wouldn't support Cameron or the EU, not in any circumstances!

Why don't you emigrate?

I thought you guys just elongated the investment horizon to your clients when things went bad with non performing funds.... Seriously though I speak to a few IFAs here for wealthy expats and they're gagging for a Brexit just to completely restructure their clients portfolios. It's all bullshit though!
