Heard the whispers that Vardy won't be starting as Woy tries to shoe horn Rooney in with Lallana behind Kane. Already a joke how Drinkwater isn't going after playing a key role all season for the champions.

So to put this all into perspective, the two English players who have had marvellous seasons playing key roles in Leicester's season miss out (one altogether) to be replaced by two players who have had extremely average seasons for a teams who who finished outside the top 4.

We need a manager who has the bollocks to make a brave decision every once in a while. We've got a lot of inform players and a lot of good youngsters. Sadly we are managed by a wet fart.

I can understand the thought process that sometimes the English players in the best domestic sides aren't always the best English players, or perhaps not the best suited to whatever system the manager intends to play, but that doesn't really apply to Rooney and Adam fucking Lallana. Neither should be anywhere near that side.

its infuriating. We have a good young team but the need to play Rooney means a good team will be carrying a 20stone ball of pubes around its neck.

Roys thought process must be...."FUck me Rooney was shite in midfield, I''l have to drop Vardy to play him up front". HAVE THE BALLS TO TELL HIM HES NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!

It's infuriating. Our last 4 results had seen us beat France, Germany, Turkey and Australia. with the season's form players being integral. We beat a weakened ten man Portugal 1-0 in a proper disjointed performance because we shoe horned Rooney in and had Kane and Vardy chasing back to our own box to compensate.

It's maddening because it's a fairly weak Euro's and with a decent manager, would have a good chance of getting pretty far. But with Hodgson and his infatuation with playing the same players who have got us absolutely fucking nowhere, we will scrap out of the group and go out to the first decent side we play.

When you think about it, If he was a club manager, would he even be managing in the Premier League? I don't think he would. So why the frig is he managing the national team?
 
Interesting stat for you here ladies and gents, England have scored one goal in the opening group match of every tournament they've participated since euro 2000
 
Squad picked on shirt sales, team will be as well.

Problem is if the squad/team was picked without £££ in mind and we actually performed it'd generate shedloads of £££ but its easier to carry on the same tried,trusted and resultwise failed formula.

That being said think England will win today and get through the group only to be dumped out when playing a better side in the 16's/quarter's, hopefully with a rag causing it as usual.
 
Rooneynis still one of our best plyers. He is not as good as he was, and had a shit season, but he is still a very good footballer and needs to start. Also, as captain he has led the side to 100% qualifying. I hate the baldy ****, but to drop him would be silly.

Can't say I agree—he has regressed quite substantially over the last two years, which is one of the main reasons United has struggled so much (long may it last).

And isn't Bertrand injured?
 
Starting Lallana over Vardy or Sterling is crazy.

Lallana was average for a team who finished midtable.

Sorry mate but that's complete and utter bollocks. Rooney is shit in midfield, he has no positional discipline so that means he can only play forward where he isn't as good at hitting the bet as the other two forwards. He would be a good option off the bench but will never happen.
