I think if Kroos is going to sit and spread the play, then I'd expect Gundogan and Fernandinho to getforward and thus get more goals. As shown in previous Pep teams, it doesn't really matter who gets the scoring chance, it's about making the right movements at the right stage of the attack to create the opportunity. He scored 6 goals in the season before Pep came, so can finish when it presents itself, but just plays a different role. I've no doubt that our midfielders can get us 25/30 goals under Pep if we play to our best.

Put it this way, he completed 160 out of 168 passes against us in 2 legs in a CL semi-final, average completion rate of 95%. He's just uber.

Seriously if we pull this off it will be the best window we have had in ages. Every game I've seen him play for Real or Germany he just runs the show. And it would be great to have someone who can actually take a good set piece as well.

Kroos would be a ridiculously good signing. His passing is ability, and he's another player like Gundogan who can control the tempo of a game.

If he was available for anything under £50m it'd be an absolute steal.

Was interesting to see @tolmie's hairdoo very none committal? Mentioned his people had been saying he wanted to come but the club said a few weeks ago it was a non starter? Maybe back then it was all about pogba but now it's become about kroos?

This all day long, he'd be the cog that links the defence to attack in a Alonso type role, his completion rate tells you all you need to know that he's a Pep style midfielder.

He can score goals. Made 2 in the WC semi against Brazil in 2014. Would be a great buy.
