If a truck is ploughing through a crowd, regardless of intent, it's a reasonable outcome to put a stop to it.

Could anyone blame them? For either wanting a tougher government or better control over immigration.

Just like with Brexit I think it requires longer term thinking, e.g. all the Western countries need to start shaping society for a safer place in 20-30 years by starting things now. But unfortunately once the shock wears off they'll return to the short-termism of the economy and tit-for-tat politics.

The poor people scared by this will just be left to themselves. So sad.

I agree and monitor every street. And allow sweeps on areas by the police. Pretty much a lot of what people complained about in Northern Ireland. But just try to learn from there and do it better and more respectfully.

Do it now before Northern Ireland being the worst case turns into Syria being the worst case.

IMO this is far far more important than global warming for example. The focus should be on this. If I had to try to battle an impossible task it would be this above all else.
