Based on what I have seen today and in the past, I find it difficult to comprehend why anyone would be willing to spend £100m on him.

And I know it's unfair to judge him solely on this evening's performance but he's never struck me as someone who could develop into a phenomenal player.

Why does it matter if a player is £1m or £200m
Money is immaterial in today's environment, a supporter or Presenter might comment on the value for money regarding a player but so what. I'm fed up with Sterling being quoted as a £40m flop if we had paid £10m would he classed as a success?
City, United etc should be able to proportion their expenditure however they see fit

I think there is surely something in this...

Kroos is world class great but he isn't that superstar of football, despite being a stats mans wet dream. If they can get a large chunk from city or anyone else for kroos, then it makes perfect sense real would still want pogba.

This is real and they HAVE to sign a new superstar every window. Pogba is the biggest one going atm....no way they sit back and let him go to a fucking europa league team.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri believes Paul Pogba will consider very carefully the chance to leave the Bianconeri to rejoin Manchester United.

The longer this saga continues the more I'm inclined to think that this is just the geriatricos saying.."hey look everybody we can buy anyone we want and we could break the transfer record if we choose...".
It's ironic that they sign peggy who always like spending plenty of bread wherever he goes and with an amazing coincidence the rags are throwing pound signs at everyone who dares to listen.
If Pogba was to walk over broken glass to sign for them lot his feet would already be cut to ribbons ........alas they are not.
