The howls of protest from Juve fans is deafening.

Oh wait...

Name any other supposed elite player in the world where such a lack of resistance from either fan base or club would be?

A one-team auction and the type of money which has Juve laughing all the way to the bank in utter disbelief.
Until you realise they spunked it on Higuain.

This is a good point.

Not like Italian fans to not care when a supposed great player leaves their club.

Has he still not signed yet? I have been reliably informed he has already paid for himself in shirt sales alone.

Pogba is a bloody idiot going to the rags. It's a terrible career move, a step backwards at a time where he should be going forwards. A perfect illustration of why he will never go on to become a truly great player.

As far as his agent is concerned a move to the rags, us or PSG would be better than a move to Madrid. If Pogba is successful his agent can still get another big pay day when he eventually does move to Madrid.

Money is the driver, not the football. The Rags are a step down compared to Juve. Even City could be seen as a step down, but being able to work with the worlds best coach could have compensated and justified the move. The "right" next step for Pogba would be one of the Spanish giants. But off course you are right, big money now, and perhaps big money again later. Mino will be happy, I suspect Pogba less so.

just about sums it up.

Great player but stupid money and career decision. I don't know why players would want to return to clubs that essentially had no faith in them in the beginning. It's hard to imagine KDB ever wanting to go back to Chelsea. Saying that, I doubt those lot would really care and, despite the circumstances, they are getting one of the most sought after players in world football which sucks. However, I'm way more confident about our signings and the quality they'll produce for years to come.

nobody will ever pay Pogba what the Rags will pay him. If he goes there, he's with them for the rest of his career (barring complete unmitigated failure).

That's what I was thinking, it's so far over the price of what Pogba is actually worth at this point in time. It's also so far over what anyone would pay for any player unless they are one of THE best in the world and a game changer, both of which (at least at this moment in time isn't the case) Pogba isn't.

He'd have to consistently win award (both personal and team awards aka ballon d'or) for the next 2 years AND have amazing goal/assist stats for a central midfielder, AND be a major driving force behind the scum winning the prem/champs league(should they get in it again obv) in any of those season. AND even then it'd be highly unlikely Real Madrid would be willing to part with over £100 million for him.

IF on the other hand he does jack shit for a season or two aka Di Maria, then goes to Madrid for a loss (and this would be a far bigger loss than Di Maria to PSG) then it's the only way I can see him leaving the scum....

Unless that is of course the improbable happens in which in a few years time the Chinese Super League has grown and Raiola then decides he's going to maneuver Pogba to a Chinese team for an obscene amount of money and pay him 500k or above... which sadly the way things are heading I can see happening.
