And I'll continue to comment ta very much.

I'm sure you'll have some passing stats either way and ignore all other variables.

It's just funny that you think with the managers that are after him and the price they were willing to pay, you may know better as you've found a website with average pass lengths.

If you want to play dumb, & make stupid comments about things you know to be untrue, then fine, but I'm not wasting my time going down to the depths with you.

If we thought he was essential then we would have done the deal already

That's utter bullshit.

Did we not think KDB essential either then? Or that Sterling was and he wasn't.

You've zero clue what Pep is thinking and given your personal view, you're trying to make it fit.

My personal view is I trust Pep to turn a seriously flawed player into a better one. How good, I don't know.

My argument is with the bullshit that he's already there now, he isn't, nowhere near. And nowhere near 'essential' . Utter bollocks.

DeBruyne wasn't essential last year. He was a player we wanted but were willing to haggle about the money. If we thought the team would fall apart without him, we would just have bought him straight off. We wouldn't risk everything for 5 mil.
We didn't risk anything. KDB was only coming to City. Like Stones is only coming to City. Txiki did the hard work with the player six months ago.

The current situation is about the price and making the difference with add ons. Like they did with Sterling, KDB and Sane.

You may think 5m neither here nor there but these four alone makes up £20m, or half our season ticket sales.

I've already argued the case for saving money on players.

But I would never risk the season on one who is 'essential'. But he isn't, so I'm not arsed & it appears City aren't worried either.

Joking apart though, how many games do you reckon Pep has actually seen Stones/Everton play ? I've got an idea, and don't think it'll be too many to be honest

I don't know what your point is here mate but before pique joined Barca he played 12 games in 4 years...the rest is history

Yep i'm out...

Are you under the impression that Pep/Txiki always get it right when they sign players, defenders in particular ?

That appears to be the argument of you & many others. That it's stupid to even question it.

How has the season been risked?

Going back to KDB, were City not arsed about him either?

Clearly he made the difference..
Now I do believe you're trolling.

You forget where we were before and after he missed seven league games. Ffs.

So yes, it could be argued he really WAS the difference. Especially in finishing top of the CL group with the last gasp goal and how that worked out with a run to the semis.

My point is we have seen him play, arguably more than Pep has,and although I'm not involved in players transfer fees as a job,50m for this lad is far far too expensive, from what we have seen, but to contradict myself slightly, this is what you have to pay I suppose for Englishmen.................oh but wait, didn't Arsenal just pay Bolton a few pence for a young English centre half..Rob Holding

See you are dumbing down again.

Nobody has said City are 'not arsed' just that they do not see it as so important that they can't haggle over the money.

I shouldn't have to spell this out as it's already been explained, as were my comments re stats.

You may wish to read this then
