I think we may regret selling mangala but that is life
 
Was just watching itv and they mentioned that we paid £47.5m for Stones but for a few million more we could have had this...then proceeded to show poohgbah scoring in euros and said and he reached the final.
Rag pr machine in full propaganda mode or what.
Happy to have Stones at our club.
 
Gutted to see him leave us but at the same time relieved it's over as it's been obvious he wasn't happy for a while now and tbh I cannot blame the lad

hope he proves to be as good as people have predicted and rises above the onslaught of criticism the media will no doubt direct towards him for every mistake he makes

give him time to settle he'll be an asset to both his club and country

I've seen enough to believe his technical ability,intelligence and composure would suit our play better than Otamendi or Mangala.

His situation is odd.

If thats true, then i hope we have others quickly learning the pep way cos if stones gets injured , we are back to square one, and the chaotic play from the back we saw last sunday.

If we are up against zlatan,Costa,Kane or lukaku he is the guy above anyone else in our squad, he has the ability to dominate them, our kamikaze defending last year did him no favours

It could be as simple as his application dropped as he has played in a major tournament and been well thought of at other clubs and sees he is down the pecking order and the club are bringing in new defenders.

Well i just passed on my mates info really. He sent me a pic of shirt yesterday morning but i thought hhhmmm could be bullshit so i didn't post. Later in the day he swore down and he normally doesn't so thats why i posted info with shirt number etc. Ill only ever post concrete info IF my mate tells me.

I guess,after signing a 5yr contract,even the most optimistic of characters would become disillusioned seeing 120m being splashed out on three blokes who play in your position,and then a full back,a defensive midfielder,and an 18yr old kid,taking preference over you in pre season.

A few million more?? As in double the price??
 
As in a few million more ....ie double what we paid for Stones and a bit extra....within a week or 2 poohbear will have been less than stones and within a month he will be a free transfer that the rags got ...
