Get used to it, Pep is going to drop people many was not expecting, he did it at Bayern and at Barca, Joe just have to suck it up i guess

No. He did not. Not at Bayern. It were the ones everybody expected.

It was not a surprise that Gomez and Gustavo got new clubs in the season preparations for the first season - it was no suprise that he had his problems with the character of Mandzu and for sure not that Dante left...

Hart would not be a surprise either as his playstyle is not what is needed - the only thing that surprises is that Pep did not already get a new keeper.

Its not about anyone single player.

It's about the team

If you don't help the team, your out.

Best manager in the world

Player have run this club for to long

It's about time the club took back control.

I trust pep and the club.

+1

I think us fans can get emotionally attached to players and sometimes in the past they've been allowed to get away with things. I hope Hart stays but if Pep doesnt feel Hart, fits his playing style, I'll trust Pep to get the right player in to replace him...

If we don't sign another keeper there is no way that Caballero will stay ahead of Joe. He just isn't good enough. That may be a big If, but I don't see too many great keepers available.

Assuming we dont find and bring in another keeper this window, do you agree that if Joe does not get to grips and show a willingness to adopt Peps play, he will always play second fiddle to Willy.

Absolutely spot on. We have now brought in the dog to wag the tail. Pep's way or the highway

In relation to his treatment of Joe then yes thats exactly what im saying, he has behaved like an arse. He has given Joe zero respect, something most of the blues on here are also doing, and they think it is acceptable because its Pep shitting on him.

Unless you know what has gone on which you don't you're speaking out of your arse fella, the situation is pretty simple pep is a very good manager, he wants to be successful and win games, he thinks dropping hart for whatever reason is the best course of action. The ball is now very much in joes court now.

Hart has been a brilliant keeper for most of his time with us. We are loyal to him generally.

A new manager, the best, comes and wants to play in a new way. He gives two keepers a half each. One generally follows instruction while the other regularly plays the long ball. As a manager I would have dropped the latter too. It has to be clear who is in charge from day one.

I am a fan of Joe but a bigger fan of City. He has to adapt or he has to go. What are you saying to every other player at the club if your stance is different?

Where's trueblu69?

Has he got a game??

Excellent post, mate...

A few egos need bruising and Joe is no different, I just find it particularly sad at certain 'supposed' fans lack of football knowledge..

What did he actually do wrong yesterday?

I think Hart will come good. He doesnt have to do much to get back into the team. He will always had a option from kick outs to pass to 3 players or more. His condfidence is iffy. We seen this before under MP he dropped Hart and Hart came back in and won his place and had a brilliant season too. I think Hart will battle for his place against Willy or if we sign his replacement. Hart knows he can be a lot better than he is. I wouldnt be shocked if Pep goes with Hart for the Tuesday Champions League game and sees how Hart does against Steaua also it wouldnt shock me to see the same 11. Players are still in pre season mode after the Euros and it doesnt help. Pep will improve a lot of players willing to take on his methods. Look at Delph for instance I thought he be 1 to go but still about and doing a roll for Pep. Hart can easily do the same. I was 1 of Harts biggest critics over the years just needs a condifence boost. Will see what happens over the coming weeks and how Hart reacts to being dropped and having to win his place back.

I dont think ability to do the job Pep wants from his goalkeepers is the deciding factor at play. The deciding factor is attitude and willingness to do the job Pep wants. I don't rate Willy that much and never have but I do get why Joe has been dropped. Truthfully Pep hasn't dropped Joe. Joe dropped himself by declining to even try and get on board with what Pep wants and if a player does that then he won't or shouldn't last 5 minutes. If Pep picked Joe then the rest of the team who are busting a gut to absorb Pep's methods will wonder why they bother and then Pep won't last 5 minutes.

This isn't about goalkeeping. It's about who runs the team. Joe is popular with players, fans and the club from Khaldoon to Chappers. No one at the club wants to replace England's No. 1. But they want and have to support Pep even more. Well except for Chappers but at least he has got his taxi route job to fall back on.

Taxi for Joe.

Whether he's played his last game or just dropped, Pep made the right decision. Joe needs a reminder that you don't live on past glory's and no one is assured of their place if form is poor.
He either leaves or buckles down and focuses on not only regaining form, but improving.
Great call by the manager. A real marker.

No ones behaved like an arse here tbh. Not Joe, not Pep. Pep dropped Joe, if dropping him is behaving like an arse than we shouldn't have managers. He hasn't spoken wrong about him nor has Joe spoken wrong about Pep.

Not sure which papers they work for but Interesting comments on Sunday supplement this morning...talking about Hart had a "face like thunder all day"

No because a. I actually think Willy's distribution is worse than Joes. B. Pep isn't going to pick the inferior keeper.

They had two shots so he had sod all to do really but I think he should have done better for the goal. Joe in a one on one is very hard to beat I think he'd have saved that.

Let's face it Joe's not particularly impressed anyone over the last year, in fact he's more underwhelmed people with saves that 9 out of 10 top flight keepers would save.
