Etihad atmosphere

Atmosphere in south stand level 1 has been great so far this season, they couldn't do much more aside from learning what tempo is. The problems lie with the songs travelling, sadly that's probably not going to change as the rest of the ground, or not enough of them seem to have any desire to join in. At home, it's the people that go away games plus a handful of others and the rest don't bother. I really don't see that changing anytime soon.

Leaving early when we're playing an exciting brand of football under a new manager and a team working incredibly hard.
Wasn't a school night, wasn't a late kick off, wasn't bad weather and the team no longer knock of early.
Each to their own, freedom of choice and all that, but unfathonable non the less.

Generally agreed but yesterdays games was back to Mancini era, just downloaded and watched the game again and the crowd were loud and proud on tv. Makes me fecked off to realise how much Pellers brought us down. Am not a pellegrini basher but his dour uninspiring chess like management style made us boring, never again!

It will get better as we play better. It was frustration with pellegrini which made last seasons atmosphere so quiet at times.

People leaving early doest help though.

How dose people leaving 5 /10 min early have a effect on the atmosphere as a whole of a 95/98min game.. Therers just as many late arrivals , half time que Dodgers as there are early leavers .

Atmosphere was quite good yesterday , died off a little after the bit of pressure they put on us, but that was around the 55 to 70 min mark nothing to do with early leavers, more to do with there improved performance and possession and us misplacing a few passes.

Thought they only entered the ground at 58 minutes. Hardly out-sung aside from 10 minutes after the goal where they thought they had a chance only to see them played off the park for the next 30 minutes again.
Brendan mate..the truth is we were out sung by West Ham..they were a lot louder than us and we do only sing one song..we don't have an atmosphere anymore.

You should try the 93:20 section. 1/4 empty, late arrivals, loads leave with 10 mins to half time, some never come back and when we score quite a few don't celebrate. I've sat where I do since we moved and I stayed put when it became semi corporate but the majority of regulars have been priced out and there too many people on corporate jollies with little or no intrest in City or the game. It's a shame they are great seats but the atmosphere is terrible. I did take the time to write to the club to say what I liked and disliked about the 93:20 package - and quite interestingly I got a rude email back from Supporter Services saying if I didn't like I should buy a ticket for elsewhere in the ground! Lol.

West Ham fans were shit yesterday, 2 renditions of bubbles but other than that, sod all. All they really did was the usual "library/fire drill" chants when we were nervy instead of singing their own songs, did they even sing a song for any of their players? Didn't sound like they even had any, shit fans.

Not from section 101.They were poor yesterday.
They made a lot of noise in the tram mind you and in town.
Fair play to them they have come up with a stupid cross your hands and shout irons to match that bubbles effort.

Thought atmosphere was decent yesterday. Apart from when West Ham got back in the game a little, never too many silent points. Early goal probably helped but 115 and the South stand did a decent job.

Agree had as season ticket is S S level three so couldn't judge how good when your sat there, had to mover to East Level three to get two tickets together as Taking my grandson this season and the noise is far far louder than before the stand was extended we sit towards the North Stand end its notably better, even in the Sunderland game it was better than previously.

Loads on here will agree with me that we've lost it big-time.ofcourse I'm an old kippax boy that used to start a lot of the songs back in the day.we never waited for the team to get us going..quite the opposite. I still think it has something to do with the 3 tiered structure we have but still no excuse.

With 10 mins to go of people are leaving in droves the atmosphere will not be the same as if everyone stayed.

I said this in the car park thread as I thought that might be one of the reasons people do leave early but got shouted down

Thought it was ok yesterday. The early leavers still a farce. 10000 would have missed sterling a goal yesterday. Would love to know what they had planned that was better than that.

And thousands the late goal v Sunderland. It's baffling why so many leave so early. I couldn't believe how many left the first game early when the game was still in the balance.
