Aguero banned for three games (updated)

equal rights they say...

I agree with this, they need to be more consistent, but there's a possibility the ref would have put in his report that he saw it and deemed it not a foul at the time. Once the ref states he saw the incident the FA can't do fuck all.

Im not arguing that Kun didn't swing his arm/elbow.

Im arguing about the line that the ref didn't see it.....that is bullshit....if the ref tells the truth...ie he did see it then the ban doesn't happen....but the use of the "escape clause - i didn't see it" calls his capability into question

so whether Kun swings his elbow or not this thread would exist......the responses on it would have been very different and most likely very simple.,..that it was stupid thing to do but luckily he got away with it (cause the ref DID see it - which means the FA can do fuck all about it)

If he didn't swing at him there would be no FA charge and hence, this thread wouldn't exist. I agree Mariner must have seen it though

If it's so fair and above board why is it that City players are the ones who get charged by the FA Disciplinary Committee? It may have happened, but I can not recall it, that a Utd player got an FA retrospective charge.

The process is bent. Aguero's challenge was far from the worst in the world seeing as he didn't touch Reid and it was Reid who clattered into him.
Remember the Rooney elbow against Wigan, not a whiff of a word with him, the process is bent and don't get me started with Costa.......

I'm not surprised, they've got form for doing City players after the fact.
Bog brush head does this every week and never gets punished.
Wouldn't mind if it was even for all teams, but we've already seen with the sterling penalty that the fa haven't got a clue.. Then again maybe they know exactly what they are doing.
Fa cunts.

Not sure what your point is.

I responded to a poster who claimed my post was bollox because I said there was only one person to blame (and I maintain that)

I also maintain that if Kun had not swung his elbow, this particular thread wouldn't exist

If you feel either of my points are wrong, then fine
A lot of people including myself deemed it careless not dangerous play so a yellow not a red. The referee was poor because of his close proximity to the action he should have been able to deal with it on the spot in which case there was about a 50-50 chance of a red or yellow. How critical should we be of Kun I'm not sure. Very easy to say that he should not have swung out but if that was reflexive and protective rather than intentionally to cause damage I would go easy on him. The fact is the media witch hunt that ensued would not have been anywhere as intense if a Rag player was involved and thus the panel would be in a position of objectivity rather than meerly executioner. So while your post is not bollox it is somewhat unfair in its dismissive condemnation of Aguero

its united have to win the premier league and they will use every trick in the book and the media are right behind them stinks stinks stinks
you just know what going to happen in the derby they are going to get a pen for holding and even a city play will get sent off

yes manchester city are 3 players better than united and on a level playing field we could beat them with 10 men but its not a level playing field and we just knew when jose took over at united they will use every dirty tick to win its the jose way. they have got into us already with the push for aguero to get a ban sky/bbc did a right job on us with it and ok its daft of aguero but would the media be all over it if it was Fellaini i dont think so that **** can do what he likes

Fairness is all anyone wants and should expect. Sky immediately ran with wanting him banned for the Derby and the spineless cunts at the FA with the help of Marriner are happy to oblige.

Well he's dubbed the higher standard of ref now after reffing the CL final and Euros final wasn't it? Or important European matches anyway. Fuck knows why, he let Tottenham have 3 offside goals in one game against us last season and another in the return fixture.

Yeah! Not sure how but he got both final's. Those Spurs fixtures we're a disgrace, I'm fully expecting a dubious penalty. After someone breath's near a rag player, on the half way line haha. As he WILL get the derby.

Fellini last season missed West Ham.

And year before he missed a game for it but this happens with about a month left in the season while he gets away with it at least a dozen times before then! Its like the fa say god we have to something that the 14th elbow this season! Aguero does it once and its brought up and trail by media hey presto a ban and a lying kunt of a referee.

I don't think there's many City fans condoning what Sergio did but for the ref to say he didn't see it standing 3 foot away is a fucking joke

Does anyone know how/when the ref's report is put together? Does it include every incident that the ref sees in a game? Are they given a list of instances that they have to comment on? Something is clearly not right here.

Some people need to give over seriously, making it out like Aliens are the ones to blame for this.

Had it been Mario Balotelli we would all call him a stupid **** and get on with it.

It's not like Aguero has been charged for jumping, he swung his elbow out and caught Reid in the eye with his trailing hand, but the main thing was HE SWUNG HIS ELBOW OUT..... He's an idiot for giving the FA a reason to charge him and was lucky a few seasons ago not to get a ban for stamping on David Luiz. I hope now he'll learn he can't get away with this shit because he's not really portrayed as a nasty player.

No-one is to blame here other than Aguero, simples.

I've only just seen this on Twitter. I never saw mention of this in the media? Hence - the rag infested media influence the FA's decision.

He was clearly frustrated and lashed out, nothing IMO was reactionary about it.

I think the only excuse you can give it for saying it wasn't dangerous is because he missed. He takes a real swipe at Reid and if he had hit him full on, he could have caused serious injury. Sorry, but that is a red card each and every day in my book.
