I saw it coming a mile off tbh so would be surprised if Hart didn't have an inkling.
It's a shame that no bigger clubs were interested but I'm sure if he improves himself over the next 12 months he'll get a deal that suits him.

Do you know I didn't see it coming at all, I was convinced that some others would be straight out of the door when Pep came and they're still here. Ha just shows what I know.
Hope you're right with 2nd part of your post.
 
When Pep was announced, it was essentially nailed on Joe would be out of a job. He couldn't be farther from a Pep keeper if he tried -- not good with the ball at his feet and rarely if ever leaves his area to sweep. The reality is that his agent failed him given that City were linked with countless keepers for months and months. And they weren't of the variety that you'd sign to be second choice. I think there is probably an element of truth to the powers that be trying to convince Pep to keep him, but an agent should be steps ahead and obviously he wasn't.
 
Disappointing to see some blues on here saying the fact that he has gone to Torino is a reflection on Joe. I think that is totally unfair and inaccurate. It's a timing issue in that at end of August most teams sorted for goalkeeper.

Yes Joe Hart made a couple of mistakes at the Euros and maybe a couple in the season. But last season just like every other year he has played for us he was one of our best players. Some of the saves he has pulled off in recent years have been ridiculous and he was a huge factor in our champions league progression in recent years. Form may be temporary but Joe Hart is a class act.

Personally I back Guardiola in that he should be able to bring in whoever he wants to be number one goalkeeper. But I do not agree that Willy Caballero is better than Joe Hart at ANY elements of his game. I'd much rather have seen Hart stay and one gk play in league and the other in champions league and cups. From what I understand bravo is prone to injury in recent years and if we have to rely on Caballero for any period of time over a period of time over a few weeks I'd be very worried.

Good luck Joe. Been a star for us but Pep knows best. Hope there's no crocodile tears tribute from the club. They wanted him gone at any cost so no hollow words please City. His record speaks for itself.
 
The club and Guardiola have handled this situation poorly , it has been a circus , that could have been prevented , surely Pep knew before he got off the plane at Ringway a couple months ago , that Joe was not in his plans . We have now allowed the current England keeper and one of the top six in world football , to join another club for nowt whilst we pick up the majority of his wages. Twelve months ago Joe would have commanded a £25-30m fee , playing for a mid table Italian team that used to be famous in the 60's & 70's is going to kill his credibility , my only hope is that Joe will improve his technical ability with the ball whilst playing in serie A , and comes back next season and challenges Bravo for the 1st team spot.Yes i know , clutching a straws springs to mind , but Joe should have left us with his head held high after everything he has contributed to the club.
 
Pep's been fed reports all last season, not just about form but about personalities and dynamics, he's watched the games and he's made his decision. Just suppose Joe isn't always the regular, butter wouldn't melt guy he portrays, but maybe a slightly intransigent, deliberately obstinate, barrack room lawyer who had to train the way he and only he wanted. Pep clearly wants willing open minds to work with and develop new ideas with.
My belief is that this is a combination of factors including those above but also, unfortunately for Joe, laying down a marker and splitting old guard factions.
A master stroke, but sad nonetheless.
Thanks Joe but the right decision. At least with this managerJoe may be given another chance if he decides to adapt.
 
I have to admit this is the most saddening moment I have experienced regarding a transfer as a city fan. Huge mistake he could of easily been our no 1(as he still is in my eyes) as much as u want us to do well I really do that super joey hart smashes it in Italy shows how good we all know he is and is our no 1 again next year.

Fair enough but that would probably mean that Bravo hadn't worked out and that Pep had been hasty with his decision. For that reason I hope Joe isn't coming back. I wish him well and hope it works out for him though. In an ideal world I'd have preferred Joe to stay, improve his game to fit with what the manager wants, and fight for his place.

I agree and we should have ended up with lots of money in the bank and no wages to fund. It's ridiculous the funding we have to do to move players on.
