I get that mate but it seems a stick the media like to beat us with all the time, The snide rag loving bell ends love to comment on empty seats not forgetting the MUEN and there red circles etc. Personally i think we should wait till the demand far outstrips the supply and get the atmosphere rocking !!

I doubt the club base their decision on whether to spend millions of pounds expanding the stadium on united fans who try to take piss because the lad bible told them to.

Can't reveal my source but it will commence next year. Worsleyweb also has contacts who he is hoping to get a look at the plans from he posted this last week. I'm told will be differ from the S S but wouldn't say how. Money appears to be on less corporate areas but will have to wait for confirmation hope Worsleyweb gets some info soon.

My thoughts go back to the earliest thread about this about 4 years ago, when the talk was the Megastore and the City square bars being incorporated within the stand.

If that's all they can resort to then times are good. These sad gits post more updates and pictures of our ground than they do of their own. Leave them to it and laugh. The club and future plans are being extremely well managed. Just look at where we were!

The irony is that I don't think match going fans of any club - i include united in that - take the piss out of other club's attendencies. Because they know the cost of watching football these days.
It's just the lad bible reading pricks who have never been to a football ground that find it funny. It's pretty sad.

If you attend games with the intention of counting empty seats rather than watching the beautiful game then you will go home miserable as even one unused seat will induce paranoia. But if attendance figures are of more importance to you than trophies then turn your attention away from the swamp as Champions League nights will leave you in a state of torpor as you attempt to count the empty seats at that stadium.

they don't bother me i just laugh at them,, if we were at the stage where we could hold say 70k in a couple of years i really don't think we would have a problem selling out providing pep sticks to his part on the pitch and brings success, it's all part of a masterplan to make us the biggest and best in the WORLD and it needs to come together at the same time,,many fans have gone AWOL from city due to the cost,,my guess is the North Stand esp if its two levels is to be our new end at affordable prices

Last sentence is key IMO. We all know people who have been priced out of going. If they can offer a ~£300 season ticket then 10,000 more fans would buy tickets from day 1. No need for on pitch success to attract more fans.

TBH if they had 10k S/Ts at £300 a piece today they would shift them in a week

I don't need to justify my credentials as a City Fan to anyone, my comments where genuine !! I would love us to fill 70k seats and have the place rocking every home game i just think it is too soon !!
It won't be anywhere near 70k with the north stand extension, so do some homework. Its just over 60k, and for the big games we'd comfortably sell them all, using a CL qualifier as your example isn't clever, as we sell out almost every league game, priced right we'd easily sell 60k for league games, but you know that.

When did i use a Chumps league qualifier as an example ? i have been to plenty of home games last year to see plenty of empty seats season ticket holders must surely agree as disappointing as it is, All I'm saying is i think it might be a season too soon but who knows i would love to be wrong.

Sometimes season card holders can't make the game for various reasons, hence maybe the reason for some of the empty seats. For example I couldn't make the Sunderland game, so my seat was empty, but I sit in the Colin Bell Stand third tier, so not in view of the cameras.

Fans, so called media outlets love a troll on the empty seats but facts are facts and the club is consistently selling over 54000 seats for home matches and has a waiting list of fans keen to take up additional season tickets. Add to that fans (like me) who haven't added their family to the waiting list because of the cost and I suspect filling an expanded stadium with a capacity of over 60k won't be an issue

Ditto me and my lad against West Ham

We've sold all the empty seats in the away end regularly for league games, if you were that regular you'd know that, so your "empty seats" jibe isn't washing with me. Most of the empty seats are in the corporate areas, or the family stand and that doesn't bother me at all.

Its not a jibe its an observation, I thought hard about posting about the empty seats as i knew it was a sore point but when i have managed to get down there have been a fair few unfortunately. Official attendance figures are bullshit as we all know as the rags constantly quote full houses when we all know its bullshit !! You can only go off what you see when you are there I'm just worried we will be giving the Rag media another stick to beet us with, hopefully I'm wrong and would be as happy as Larry to be proved wrong !! We are all on the same side here.
