Derby post match thread 10/09/2016

I think, for me at least, one of the best things to take from our early games so far is that we are an utterly different beast this year. Previous years if we concede a dodgy goal or things went against the plan then we wobbled and cracked, but this yet, we've conceded goals that we're all our own doing but the ship got steadied and for all the 'attacks' we withstood they didn't get a sniff at a clean shot.

Although I still don't believe we're good at holding onto one goal leads going into the last ten minutes I have been impressed with our hardiness this year so far, long may it continue!

He reminds me of zippy from rainbow. It's like somebody is working him out of shot. And what a complete fuckin meltdown. This is a meltdown of all meltdowns....and the cheeky **** calling us mongs.....3-2-1 and you're back in the room. What a crank. Somebody pass this poor fucker some tamazipan.

He's... He's not a very articulate fellow, is he?

I mean, for a start, he doesn't know the difference between 1 or 2 feet. Probably explains why he presumably gets dressed by his mum still.

Interestingly Utd played the second half with 6 pressing our defence and a very high line. We still managed to pass the ball out from the back though nothing like as well as before the break. My only major concern about the game at this point is we failed to score another 2 or 3 goals. Our attacking players seemed to be caught on the horns of a dilemma choosing to try and keep the ball rather than going for the killer pass and the break away goal. With no one available for a pass behind them they kept losing the ball. Pep alluded to this in his post match comments so it will be interesting to see how he deals with these opposition tactics going forward.

The 6-1 was a 3-1 with benefits. That's twice this season pep has shown he can do it away at stoke.if they'd done as baconface wanted and accepted a 3-1 defeat then it wouldn't get a mention. Yes we dominated them but they had a chance to score early on before we did. The first 40 mins yesterday we owned them TOTALLY. We played football they could only imagine in their wildest dreams. No one will make a mug with 1-2 on it but in terms of digging a hole in their souls yesterday was a Marianas trench.
Don't buy into the baconface excuse line.

All these long drawn out video analysis needed one thing and one thing only.. The Microphone check.

1-2,1-2 testing testing 1-2,1-2.

yes it was 1-2 and for you it was testing..

now piss off.

They want to play with width/pace etc and use their height and physical strength.

It will beat the majority of teams, as turgid and utterly shit as it is. Speaking to a few utd fans they felt they played well in the 2nd half.

Bias aside I think that is a very sorry state of affairs. I wouldn't be happy watching that type of football each week. In fact I'd go a stones throw across the ship canal and watch the sale sharks instead.

We are a superior and much better technical football team. Absolutely no question about it.

The landscape of the PL has changed and will change even more this season. Peg will implode when those plastic fans start getting restless because his predictable football fails to win any trophies.

We are set for the future. We got the manager they wanted.

This town is blue. And they fucking hate it.

Nail on the head.
Even on Saturday there were grumblings. It will be wonderful to watch his and their stock drop further.

First you open the curtains, then you shove garlic down their fucking throat, then you stake 'em through the heart with a fucking crucifix.

And even then, you check if they are still breathing.

Yesterday, van Helsing came to town, had a three way with Dracula's brides and then packed his shit up and left.

Made all the sweeter by the fact it was pretty much the same personnel as last year.

It's actually become exciting again to want to see us play.

Too soon to play them my arse Mr Hairdoo ;-)

Absolute silence in work this morning.............strange that!

Absolute silence in work this morning.............strange that!

Not so quiet in my place.. soon as I walked in "Bravo should of been sent off" , "we should have had 2 penalties"

I pointed out Baillys kick at Nico, Fellaini's flailing elbows again and the fact rooney should of had 5 cards in the game for Leaving his foot in / Dissent etc.

He walked away, and now i'm enjoying the silence...

I don't know how your nerves could stand up to watching that live for 90 minutes, Kaz

Because I'm quite superstitious, and, (thanks to my late grandad's influence), hate the arrogant, slimy, cheating, fcukers (and the media's, ar*e licking, obsession thereof) with a passion that borders on the psychotic, I haven't listened to, or watched a derby match (or any game featuring the rags), 'live' on the TV or the radio, for over 20 years.

I went through a similar spell with derbies a while back. It ended after I got my son-in-law to check the result at the end of the sick swan :)

Still never watch any other rags matches on principle.

I'm still genuinely trying to work out what the rags tactics are, spending all that money and having the special one as their leader.
It can't seriously be just lump it forward can it?
Am I the only one thinking this? Why aren't there any questions being asked in the press as to what they've spent all this money on?

I was genuinely disappointed watching the game; I thought I would be wowed by the most expensive footballer on the planet

I just don't get it
They are preparing the team for BFS when he loses the England job.

Enjoy the silence at work this morning people. I pulled up in our car park and nodded at 1 of the many office rags who was having a cig as I went passed. By the time I parked up and walked over to the smoking shelter he had fucked off, the girl that was still there said he'd seen me and couldn't face me. As Mr Tyler said "Drink It In" this morning people. Hope you all have a wonderful day at work :)

Easy in work today, not said a bean myself, just said hello to em all as if nothings happened.
They definitely hate that more :-)

Been on the piss all weekend and I'm back in work now so I haven't had time to get on here but ... THE BOYS. Pep and the lads are supreme. That first half was unreal and to think that were not even near the finished article yet!

In work this morning , didn’t say a dickie and as said before this seems to wind em up even more,
Eventually one of em has broke ranks and said , thought you would be crowing about beating us Saturday,
No I said just another game and not our biggest of the season,
Like your biggest game is Liverpool every season, we won our biggest of the season already that was Stoke away.
The one where everyone said Pep would have no chance. Gone quiet again now
