Not a surprise really. They have fallen so far behind us, they will do anything to get back above us.

Manchester United have launched a raid on rivals City for a group of scouts who have helped make the Blues the kings of youth development.

United vice-chairman Ed Woodward demanded an investigation into why the club famed for their commitment to developing their own players had fallen so far behind the Blues in recruiting stars of the future.

And the conclusion was that the only way United could begin to close the gap is by trying to prise away some of City’s top talent spotters.

Sunday Mirror Sport understands that United have identified at least four of City’s UK-based scouting team.

It's not the scouts they need. It's a world class training facility with top class coaches and the promise of a first rate education at one of Manchester's best schools, an education the club continues to pay for even if the player is deemed not up to scratch.
As usual Ed Woodward is proving himself to be an utter fucking cretin when it comes to running a football club. They should have kept him where he excelled, getting new noodle partners.
 
Well if they offer silly wages for them what they will do, just to get the headlines they may well get them.
 
The way I look at it, does it really matter? We have Unal, Jesus, Sane, Stones, Sterling, Brahim, Iheanacho, Sancho, Angelino, Moreno, Maffeo, Garcia to name but a few. We have so much talent at our club that they are so far behind us. We have the best young talents from all around the globe and we're sorted for the next decade!

Delusion. Even their own players send their kids to us and they were not scouted, we're just a better place.
You just woke up and smelled the coffee too late you silly rag cunts. While you were making banners and singing nursery rhymes we were doing this.
 
One thing you can be sure of, if they do tempt away any of our staff, scouts or otherwise. The media will play it as a huge victory for them.

Do you think the transfer window shield and the scout collecting trophy will count as a domestic double or be worth a CL place?

Wouldn't expect anything else from the media, City should just say well they did offer them ridicules money to poach em good look to them.

As long as it gets them bragging rights in Croydon and Singapore I don't think they'll care. We might have to suffer the ignominy of a flag celebrating their victory on the Stretford end though.

It will probably ensure they get into Pot 1 of CL - even if they don't actually qualify !!
 
Woodward could persuade Ferguson to sleep outside their houses. Worked for a certain family orientated man in his youth.

Seeing as we're the best around, it surely would be a victory for them? It's a testament to how low their stock has sunk and how high we've climbed when them potentially taking a scout from us is seen as a great move on their part.
 
They're only human, if they leave it'll be for money, and if it's true Woodward is offering a pay raise of 50% then I can see a few leaving.

They might go and if they do they'll realise they made a mistake when they see the shit they have to work with.
