I don't need to suggest anything I'm simply telling you that opening a gate at kick off next to hundreds of fans who are already pissed off was a terrible idea and inevitably resulted in those fans rushing towards that Gate.

The queues would decrease a lot faster if some of the staff knew what buttons to press on the till, instead of gawping at the thing as though they're trying crack the enigma code!Absolutely agree.
Impossible to get a pint at half time in the new south stand unless you miss some of first half or miss some of second. They dont even relay the match so you can at least watch the action whilst in the queue.......so i dont bother - there loss!!
Not sure anyone is "laying in" to anyone Tim. My own comments to WW - which he acknowledged in typical good grace - were simply about empathising with the plight of others regardless of how well you see things going personally.
A number of people are getting emotionally entrenched and personal which is in danger detracting from the debate about a genuine set of issues.
Clearly it was an issue yesterday,took me about 45 mins to get into P,but rather than slag the club off as seems to be in vogue,perhaps we should wait and see how they react to the queues and see what plans are in place for the next home game? Glasgow was a shambles but it's caused a reaction so let's see
Thought we were a bit unlucky today but not quite at our best and missing two penalties. I have season tickets in level 2 but frequently sit in other parts of the stadium for different games I.e cup games and when my dad comes I take him in the lower tier as he struggles walking up. I have no issue whatsoever with the ground. There are clearly issues with the glass wall but as I explained in the other thread my understanding is that the club are converting office space within the west stand by next season to improve facilities. They are also launching a new end at the south stand which will be much less corporate and cheaper tickets. The seats in the centre of the lower tier behind the dugouts are as good as you can get and the club are improving the offering there as part of the longer term development plan for the stadium. They are not looking to just turn it into a corporate bowl. 90 percent of the lower tier is non corporate and 60 percent of the middle tier. Up until today I had never had any issues with turnstile queuing. I actually went in today at about 3 minutes past 3 and literally took 2 minutes. Unfortunately in the world today there are security issues and I felt today that there must have been something going on as the checks seemed more keen. Genuinely I have never had an issue getting food or having a piss on any level of the stadium. Perhaps on the lower tier in certain areas it has got temporarily worse but I certainly would not let it spoil my day. As for the club and tickets I phone up regularly or use the website to buy tickets and am always treated well and find the service first class. I can only voice my true opinion. I love going, find the service and views excellent. The team very good and I genuinely don't get this nonsense about fan disconnnection and the ultra negativity. I just don't get it - sorry if that makes you think I am an arrogant dickhead!!

If we have this calibre of people making such decisions I worry.
As I said if I was sat in those seats in 127 I probably would be pissed off if I had to move. But we have about 500 corporate seats in the whole of the lower tier so I can certainly see why the club think that they need to do this as they are seeking to maximise revenues to aid the business case for the north stand. Despite the criticism from some joes bar and 93.20 made the business case for the south stand 3rd tier stack up. Clearly it is causing some distress but this is the real world and our owners won't just stump up 60 million pounds for a new stand that will take about 40 years to pay for itself.
It's also the only way in the short to medium term that the club can legitimately continue to offer cheaper seats elsewhere in the ground..
The queues at Y were ridiculous as well.The queues at P especially 15-30 mins before kick off have been getting longer every home game this season, more than likely due to the new security measures, so the club should have already realised that closing off another access point in Y was gonna increase this, so yes they are at fault, bad planning all round.

Why would you quit altogether over where you're sat? Sure I get moving is a ball ache, but overall you're there to watch the game right? I've sat all over the ground and it makes no difference to me where I am. Years ago we were moved out of the S block of the North Stand at Maine Road to accommodate away fans due to the fantastically shite Umbro Stand! We'd all sat there for more than a decade and knew everyone around us like a family. It happens for all sorts of reasons.
