It's not ridiculous mate.
Aguero has already missed 3 penalties this season (4 if you include Argentina the other evening, when by all accounts, he had a poor game).
However, it's his wider contribution, especially in the big games, (PSG, Real Madrid, Spurs)) that for whatever reason, seems to have diminished.
To be honest, I think he's played too many games when not fully fit.

Oh yes! Think it was in that Benny Hill style Norwich game! He was followed by Bony hitting then moon with one a game or so later and Aguero missing one against Villa. Aguero scores 2/3 but when you watch his pens against those of Balotelli or Toure, they are clearly not as good and he has now missed 7 penalties for us in the last 2 years. We win a lot of penalties and we need to start taking them.

May be too much reading between the lines but it seems Pep is on his case (in a very polite public way - might be more direct in private). Both he and Pep have mentioned their conversations recently.
Will be an interesting test of Serge's mentality if he's going to be able to rise to the Pep challenge or not. I'd hate it but I wouldn't be surprised if we move for a striker in January.

What rating would you have given him if Stekelenburg hadn't produced an outstanding save to keep him out?

I've read a fair few posts saying how poor he was on Saturday and I can only presume that they are basing it entirely on a penalty miss.
He came on in the 55th minute and in that time, whilst not being brilliant didn't have such a stinker that he deserves the pelters he's been getting.
Aguero relies on service from our playmakers and with Everton playing so deep and putting the numbers they did behind the ball it was impossible for him to create space in the areas he's most dangerous. He couldn't play on the shoulder of the last man because there wasn't a last man, there was a last 8 men.
He dropped deep at times, went wide at times and stayed central at times - basically doing all he cold to receive the ball and be involved. Unfortunately we couldn't find the breakthrough and wherever it was Sterling or Nolito from the wings or KdB/Fernandinho or Silva coming through the middle, there was no passage of play that gave him a fighting chance of scoring in open play.
He didn't have a stinker by any stretch - he missed a penalty and the vultures who have been circling for weeks have swooped.

I get the point but it's a bit defeatist all the same. Using the words all we can hope seems like he doesn't have that much confidence in his teammates.
