Watching game in town

Bunping this for suggestions.

It is mental how bad town is for football considering it's probably our biggest global export. Also depresses me how hard it is to find a good pool table and jukebox in pubs compared to a few years ago.

I've got a scouse mate who said that all the pubs in Liverpool city centre show 3pm games. Not sure why so few in Manchester do, unless GMP have clamped down on it?

Couldn't get past the first 5 words there...

It is a joke though, but it's not even just the 3 o'clock KOs - it's crap for football no matter what time they kick off.

If anyone is desperate I've called a place in castlefield, the end that's just outside town, and they've told me they're showing the game tomorrow. It's not a huge place but they have a nice big projection on the wall. Don't want to name them in case there is a clampdown, so PM if interested.

Perhaps bars in town just don't want TV football clientele.

Failsworth is nice for the matches. We all get along and a fair few sat with me to watch Wales v Serbia last weekend. A few pints for the buildup, the match and then the aftermath has ruled many a Saturday in my world. I wouldn't have it any other way.

For all our viewers in Rochdale and Oldham the op is referring to Manchester City centre

Hi mate, I'm looking for a place to watch it

I tried watching the Swansea game in town a few weeks ago, and none of the places that used to show games had it on. Asked a few of the door staff and they said hardly anywhere shows the 3pm games in town any more. Not sure if the police have clamped down on it?

I don't think it is of any concern to the police as a pub showing a 3pm k.o. is not actually breaking the law, it would involve a civil action against the pub.

Anywhere in the Edenfield area going to see a mate and want to watch whilst up there
Cheers

seems the usual places in the northern quarter are all showing the rugby.

There is a pub in didsby I have been told

If anyone knows of some in town PM please

I'm looking for somewhere decent in Didsbury or Stockport for 3pm kick offs too...

Do you know what the name of the pub in Didsbury was?

before yes now ???

Just asked the beirkeller and got no sensible response, just heading to town now to have a mooch
Yes beerkeller can't say it's on for legal reasons, it's always on when I've been in numerous times at 3p.m, failing that courtyard off Oxford rd
