Of course, Kinkladze was renowned for his ability to play across the back line and the holding midfield position..
 
He was the shining light in a City team that got relegated twice in three seasons. There's also questions to ask about his fitness, workrate and attitude. I do concede, however, that I only have good memories of him for his pure skill.
 
At the time was a player with skills beyond many in our leagues, but not the same calss as the likes of silva, KDB and Bernabia.
Also I will always have this niggling feeling that Lee only bought him as a vanity buy to try and look like a club going places, when if we had bought some seasoned prem players to help at solidifying our defence and midfield with the cash we may have survived (though highly unlikely with that twat ball in charge)
 
first of the new bread of players we see today fast feet strong on the ball eye for a goal magic feet and small of build
if we could have that sort of talent in a mould and just take it of the shelf life would be so easy

but the skill of them type players are getting coach out of them at a very young age its more about work of the ball running into space and pass and move
individual skills are over looked for the better of the team and that can not be right
 
I was in my early teens when Kinkladze was with us and he was my absolute hero. At that age, the things he could do with the ball was everything good about football for me.

I don't think I've had had that since, partly due to being at the exact right age at the time, partly down to the oversaturation of football on tv leading to the mysticism going as every action of every player is scrutinised and also with age, a greater appreciation for the more unsung players that allow someone like Kinkladze to be able to do his thing.

He was the type of footballer that really caught the imagination though, much like Silva does for my son nowadays. That natural ability and effortlessness is very rare and is what makes people fall in love with football.

Memories that will last a lifetime.
 
How sidewards Silva gets mentioned in the same breathe as Gio is embrassing I can pass it sidewards to , never once got off my seat when Silva receives the footballer cause nine times of ten he will pass it back to Clichy or Kolarov

In a split second the through ball to Dzeko for the sixth goal at the swamp springs to mind ... and pretty sure there are dozens of others if I gave it some thought

What you mean when the red shower of shit had 10 men and given up and it was 5 1 , Kinkladze ball to Rosler at the same ground was 10 times better
