So our admin fck up and land us in hot water with FA over keeping track of players, and we have 5 months to sign a player and it is still delayed by ' paper work issues' and yet some blues still sniff the clubs reeking bums like they are angels... wake up and smell the coffee. We have amateurs running our back room. It may only be paper work but 'paper work' issues can prevent it happening at all. Brewery, up, piss and organise spring to mind. Those that try to excuse the club need to take off the blue tints. Their is a pattern developing here and it aint a good one.

How many more times,it's the FA and Palmeris not us

Because the club isn't that transparent it causes reactions that in hindsight might look over the top.

It's not because Jesus can't play this weekend because the chances were limited anyways, but it would praise the club to let the press know what is the matter instead

This is the latest news we have.

  • The FA is still verifying documents related to the Gabriel Jesus transfer - but City insist a third-party ownership dispute is not an issue
  • Dispute has been rumbling on for months in Brazil. A former agent claims he owns 22.5% of GJ's rights. Palmeiras are taking him to court
  • There's no court date as yet, which suggests there's no resolution in sight. City, though, are pointing to an earlier court case in Brazil
  • Earlier court case ruled that Jesus was free to join a new club regardless of the dispute between Palmeiras and former agent.
  • Fabio Caran, the former agent, part owned the club Jesus first played for, and helped take him to Palmeiras. Stopped being his agent in 2014
  • Caran insists he still owns 22.5% of Jesus' rights. Palmeiras aren't recognising his claim. Messy situation but City say it has no bearing.
  • In short, City don't believe dispute between Palmeiras and former agent has any bearing on Jesus' registration.
  • Overall, City are confident the FA are happy with the papers they have seen so far. Hoping Jesus will be registered in time for Spurs.

So please enlighten us as to how you'd resolve this issue?

The press do know whats going on. If you choose not to read what the press are saying, that's your fault, not the club's.

So this has been going on for months but we have only just got reassurances tha FA are happy with papers? Still sounds like fck up to me. But my main point is a wider one. We are developing a habit of admin cock ups and triggering investigations and charges even before this. I also believe the lack of transparency is uneccessary if the problem is so simple.

Funny because these are the same people who ridiculed Alan Shearer last week when he suggested that City would need to sign a striker if they wanted to win the Premier League.

Is this the same Alan Shearer who backed us to win the league at the start of the season, and a few weeks ago said he wasn't going to change his mind?

They have decided there is no problem, based on previous court rulings in Brazil, and submitted the paperwork as early as possible, 1/1/2017.

The FA has to check everything, and they are in the process of making sure everything is correct, a process which should only take a day or so, but has been drawn out to a couple of weeks because of the messiness on the Brazilian side.

That's not the club's fault, nor is there anything they can do except give the FA what they've got. The FA probably can't make it go much faster as they'll have to go through the court proceedings in Brazil and/or speak to lawyers over there and Palmeiras.

The last point is just rubbish, and reflective of the embarrassing neediness of fans these days. Pep explained it was a delay between the FA and papers in his press conference today.

The last time he was around the media was 4/1/2017 and there was no significant hold up, so why bother explaining a hold up that hadn't existed yet?

And if it's not a major problem, why make it into a big deal by doing some sort of special circumstances announcement.

Thanks for your clarification of the situation in the last two posts. Presumably we present a dossier to FA on January 2nd prepared by some of the best legal talent money can buy, with legal justifications and phone numbers to ring. Prep done. Two weeks later FA still not in position to confirm and give OK. I deal with overseas legal issues and contracts with my business. This sounds like things may not be as clear cut as you say. If there is already legal precedent then the FA can deduce that quickly with its own lawyers. If it is clarification and commuication issues the We should have had that ready to rumble from day one. Still struggle to see it as other than a slip shod from our end. If not then we should be calling the FA out on their tardiness.

From a purely selfish point of view I would be happy to see his debut delayed until the Spurs game so that I can be there to see the start of what I'm sure will be an exciting career for him at City. It's a more appropriate occasion than away to the dogs of war!

Some remarkably childish, ignorant, and tedious insults aimed at those bewildered blues who care about the club, but can’t understand how a professional organisation can spend £30m, without asking

“Oh, by the way. Do you actually own this player?”

Funny because these are the same people who ridiculed Alan Shearer last week when he suggested that City would need to sign a striker if they wanted to win the Premier League.

Perhaps Shearer knew something we didn't?

Let’s just hope that Aguero scores a few goals, and doesn’t suffer injury or suspension before it’s all sorted.
So know you think he wont play this season? Jesus christ, its one game that in all likelyhood would have come too soon for him anyway.

According to Pep, the problem lies between his old club and the FA so on this rare occasion we may not be guilty. As it is I wouldn't be tempted into starting him just yet and I would think the cup tie would be the ideal time for him to make his debut.
Thanks. Glad to know that. I would have thought City would have dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's with respect to his ownership after the Mangala and Fernando signing problems.

I was lucky enough to be at Kuns debut. How exciting that was ! Lets hope Gabriel can have a similar impact on our club.

You make no sense. How do you know the press knows what's going on. As if every football related article is what, true?
The club chooses to be silent or come out with an explanation. Like Khaldoon just did now and all of a sudden this transparency stops the guessing. On the doping matter the club is silent. So it leads to people guessing what is the matter and wondering if the FA is right. Now in the end thoughts might be completely besides the truth but can you blame them? Not really. And when the news is clear it's easy to say in hindsight how wrong people were.
