I,ll tell you what he would do! He,d continue to moan about how shit everything is with us, along with the other needy types. This place is ridiculous at times. I know, we haven't played for a few days, let,s find a thread to moan on.

You only have to look in this forum, to see who people would buy.
Just because they happened to see them have a good game, once.

What about giving them Denayer or a loan as a replacement, with buy back clause. Players need experience at our level but how do they get that experience with every game so crucial, it's the reason players like Van Dijk become so much more valuable after a season or more in the Premier league the experience is what clubs pay for.

My guess is they don't want Denayer. They've got a decent track record at bringing their own youth players through so its hard to see that they'd want one of ours who hasn't managed to establish himself at Sunderland. The idea that if they were to actually manage to bring the best out of him that we would then exercise a buy back clause would be even less appealing. We clearly have no intention of developing this guy ourselves and all other clubs will know that so I doubt anyone would accept a buy back clause arrangement. A lot of our fans seem to think our youth products would just walk into the side mid table teams even though this has been proven not to be the case time and time again.

In fairness I will hold my hands up and say I only watched 4 games whilst they were there but in my opinion, whilst they both looked good, denayer looked significantly better. Better judgement, better going forward and somehow less "panicky"

Three, arguably four are still yet to reach world class levels, some even aren't top class yet. Our recruitment over the last three years has been below par. We're not the only club to struggle though in the transfer market, so it's probably easier said than done.

Nah mate, four out of five were some of the worlds most coveted players. If you are talking about not getting enough established players then what about otamendi, fernando, de bruyne, Nolito and Bravo? (Whatever you think of bravo, otamendi and fernando, you can't deny they didn't look good when we bought them). We've bought experience, we've bought young first team players and we've cleaned up in buying under 18 youth.

We've done a damn good job. Is there room to improve? Yes. Have we made mistakes? Absolutely. Have we got one of the best recruitment teams in the world? Damn right

That's called commitment. Most on here have made their minds up after a 2 minute youtube montage ;-)

Should have bought this guy from Celtic when the price was realistic, I said at the time when Southampton bought him ....why the hell weren't we in for him. Our transfer policy needs to change instead of risking £30+ or £20+ million on players like Mangala and Bony we need to look at more realistic/cheaper options. VVD clearly had all the tools for the PL and for the money Southampton paid was well worth the punt!! We should probably look at some of the Italian and Portugese clubs and how they scout players.

He looks great at Southampton but nope he will not be great for us I am not joking on this.

Not having a pop to name Bony in your argument is wrong. Why was he a risk?

Living in Scotland with a Celtic supporting son, I saw a lot of them both the season they played together. Denayer was the better player in that season albeit both of them were good.

I remember when he first get mentioned here in Bluemoon, many underestimated him because was playing in a weak league as they say !

He was the only person to play very well in that game yesterday. Definitely the best CB in the league outside of the established stars (Otamendi, Kompany, Alderweireld, Koscielny and Luiz).

At Celtic maybe Denayer was better than Van Dijk, I wouldn't know. But now they're both in the toughest league in the world, is there really any argument?

Exactly. Van Dijk should be our number one target for CB this summer. He's brilliant.

I watched the Burnley game yesterday (on kodi)and he was the best defender by a mile read the game vary athletic and quick and big think we should take a punt on him !!but it would help if pep picked the same team or at least the back 4 every week.
