Very good performance by young Sterling tonight, ok a couple of times he chose the wrong option when in a good position. But and its a big but he got in great positions many times with some superb runs, touches and passes. So all in all the plusses far outweighed a couple of wrong choices. Those that want to pick holes, bitter scousers mostly, they will always pick out those moments but for me he is looking like the player we want more and more and will only get better. Well played Raheem.
Fully agree mate. I have had my doubts, but he is now becoming a lot more consistent. Was a complete nightmare for West Ham all night.

I think playing just behind the striker is the position for him. Pretty sure that's where he played when him and Suarez tore up the league. His pace can stretch any defensive line and it also means Aguero doesn't get marked out of a game or get left isolated. Would like to see him play there against Everton.

agree but we have to understand that Pep doesnt keep to a strict formation every game. We have changed formation/player rotation and positioning about 68 times so far this season, which if you look at his time at barcelona and bayern is par for the course so far.

The players are going to have to become tactically more aware and intelligent about positional play and what Pep wants from them when in those positions, and sterling, KDB, Sane, Jesus and the rest have that ability .

Some said that KDB was wasted last night playing in the role he did, but he did what Pep asked and it allowed Silva to conduct attacks from high up, whilst we had the passing ability of KDB deeper.

Pep will be very happy indeed after the effort put in by all because they carried it out to near perfection

Under the right management I can see Sterling and Stones still here in six or seven years time as some of the best in the world.

Just his finishing is so frustrating, he takes too long. If he could learn to finish like Aguero, first time shots, putting it through defenders legs etc he'd score so many goals.

I can see his final ball improving though, i think he's becoming better at picking out players and choosing the right option (for example passes to Silva and Yaya for 2 goals yesterday).

This is something which should be coachable imo. Not the actual finish, but getting the shot away quicker.

Hopefully, he's got plenty of time to work on it.

I get the impression it's confidence related though, he seems to want the opportunity to be perfect because he's afraid of missing.

I love watching him, he always looks like he can create chances with his pace. Looks to have got great confidence from Pep as well.
Always feel more positive about winning with him in the side, he's brilliant.

It's time all blues starting taking more notice of what he's contributing to the team he's becoming one of our most important players, I think he's earned a Sterling song.

he's very, very close to becoming a world class player-when he learns to get his shots away quicker he will be a step closer.

Totally agree. He had an opportunity last night to pull the trigger from close range but opted to try and bring it onto his weaker foot. There is a noticeable improvement though in his overall game

I will just leave this here..
eden hazard
9 goals, 3 assists in 22 apperances in all comps
raheem sterling
6 goals, 11 assists in 26 appeances in all comps
eden hazards chelsea have been flying for months, and they havent had to play champs league
raheem has been in an inconsistent team, playing harder teams and is 4 years younger than hazard
No end product..

I'm excited about his future so much. What he can bring to a line up like;

Gabriel Jesus
Sane kdb sterling

Weigl? Gundog an

That front four has ridiculous potential. Marking them 3 interchanging with the pace they have and kdb sliding them through balls will be phenomenal. I can't frigging wait. That's without players like Diaz, Roberts, moreno, cuisance, Fernándes and so many more like Sancho and patching. If there is another club that has this much to look forward to it havnt seen one and sterling is right at the front like a teaser for what's to come.
