and while we are at it, how in hells name did Spuds manage to pick up Wanyama for £11m (have i got that right?) when Southampton paid £12m to bring him from Celtic. How do we miss these bargains??
And 15 for Dembele, Alderweireld - 12, Dier 4, Ali 5, Vertongen 10, Walker 3, Rose 1, Lloris 12. I know they have had some bad buys like Soldado and Soussoko, but thats 9 of their 1st team signed for a total of around 70 million. Frightening when you compare that to the money we have wasted on our current squad.

Its what makes Pochetino so good IMO, he makes players better, simple as.

And Eriksen for about £11m or £12m, something like that.

Forgot about him as well, scary. Kane cost them nothing and there is their starting 11 from Saturday. Under 90 million for them and a millon miles from our current starting 11.
Their entire starting 11 for less than we paid for Stones and Sané

And we go out and spend another bucket load when there are young players who may never get a chance with us get moved on and a year or so down the line we say why did we get rid of him,if you don't give them a chance how will we ever know, obviously not all at once, maffeo is a perfect example..

I feel like I did the week before we played them at home last year - I cannot think of anyway in which we can win this game. That said, I am not on 10million a year to think of things. Hopefully those who are responsible can think of a plan

They are quicker and stronger than us and are full of confidence. Kane, Ali and their fullbacks running and shooting at our defence/goalkeeper doesn't bare thinking about

Wanyama and Dembele will physically dominate whatever midfield we put out.

Kane and Alli will cause no end of problems.

Rose and Walker will raid up and down their respective flanks all day with relentless pace and work ethic.

We'll undoubtedly concede.

I hope Sergio has his shooting boots on.
Nailed on typical City win then .

I thought we'd win against Arsenal because I thought they'd be overconfident and would not play backs to the wall like most other teams do.

I think the same about the Spurs game. They will attack us and leave lots of chances for us to catch them on the break. This is entirely the wrong tactics as Arsenal and even Barca showed. We can actually defend quite well when we are organised - it's when we lose the ball after periods of prolonged possession and we are all out of shape; that's when the wheels come off.

I think it will be an open and high scoring game though. And I think we'll win it just.

4-3 City
Totally agree, Spurs won't play a flat back 7 like most teams who come here, all our better home performances have come against teams who actually want to win the game.

We have to gaffer tape Kompany's leg together and get him on that pitch no matter what.

Caballero
Kompany Stones Otamendi
Yaya
Garcia Delph
KDB
Sane Jesus Sterling

Bit of pace and energy and passion is all I ask
Expect a defeat which I am fine with, as spurs are comfortably the best footballing side in the country at their best

Delph in for energy and enthusiasm
Garcia deserves a chance and we should get a little bit of room to play on the counter so his diagonal passing is needed
Yaya to sit and dictate, those 3 become a deep 3 when defending

Sane and Jesus are a front 3 but have the pace and energy to sit in when needed

Just have a go on the break, look to cause their back 3 problems with pace

Don't see how with the squad we have, and our way of playing, we can win.. so a change in tack and mentality needed

Sorry to interrupt the Spurs circle jerk nut, like the bookies, fancy us in this one.

We just need to convert some fucking chances.

Those hoping Jesus starts are praying we get his registration done in time.

No chance he will trust Sane in this game.

Needs to do a Jose park the bus and pray we have enough men behind the ball

really not looking forward to this one at all. spurs are a top side, and we struggle against big sides at the best of times let alone whilst the team is in a sorry state
Beaten Arsenal, United, Barca

Lost to Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs

I'd say its a toss up and depends which team turns up.

He played Sane against Arsenal so he may well do.
