Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I think the inconsistency is causing the issues. Beating Barca, Arsenal & Rags and getting hammered by awful teams. Some fans can't hack it :-)

That's the nail on the head for me and I've said it before but there is a mental issue running through the club. We have this ability to start really playing when losing a game and it's blatantly noticeable in the increase in the pressing , aggression and speed of passing when we go a goal or two down - even then it is never enough to win games and we end up patting them on their heads for their "endeavour".

We have a squad who are mentally soft who don't appear to run through brick walls for this club-what did Pep say when he arrived ? He would accept players getting it wrong but wouldn't accept players not grafting and working hard. They seem to come out for second halfs looking up for it- then go soft as shit if we concede yet another early goal . The game was over at 0-2 on Sunday and the players work rate noticeably dropped off yet again.its simply not good enough- and you can't con the average match going fan.

You have to ask where are the fighters in this team ? Where are the Tevez, Barry, Lescott, Hart , Milner , De Jong type of characters in the team - all drafted out with soft centered fucking mard arses drafted in who only appear to be here for themselves.

This is the most alarming thing for me and no matter how many skilful players we bring into the club it means fuck all without any bollocks .

Peps got his work cut out to perform a Mancini type turn around in making this club winners again - his biggest test by far .

Let's hope this rumour is true about another contract , will only believe it when I see him signing.

He needs to earn it.

Let him prove himself with us, then decide if he deserve new contract or we should look for other choices such as ( Pochettino or Koeman )

With all my heart, I want Pep to succeed, but if he couldn't, there are coaches who has done better with much less money.

Ok. Show me what Pochettino has won? And what guarantee can you give me that given all the money in the world, he would be an instant success? I might have dreamt it, but I'm sure his team completely lost it's bottle when they had a great chance of winning the league!

As for Koeman, he's suddenly flavour of the month because he beat us with four breakaway goals, whilst only a couple of weeks ago, his team meekly surrendered to Liverpool, Hull and Leicester! Yeah let's get him in.

FFS.

With all those players out of contract in the summer our average age will really drop well down. The oldest will be Fernandinho, with Bravo possibly staying and likewise Fernando.
And about £1,000,000 per week off the wage bill, to reinvest in the squad!

If he's willing to extend, which Tolmie suggests he is, then I think he sees a lot of potential in both the players he's brought in and the academy boys he's had the chance to train.

He may be looking at the likes of Sterling, Sane and Jesus as the spearhead of our attack for the next 5 years, while slowly bringing in our main academy talents, such as Garcia, Gunn, Adarabioyo, Foden, Brahim & Sancho.

These players will give him the chance to replicate his Barca blueprint and genuinely have the ability you need.

If we're patient with him and give him time he'll become our greatest ever manager.

Its going to be some saving and I`ve said it before but if we have to take hopefully a one year hit on missing out on the CL,then we`ll certainly come back stronger. However three points at this stage of the season is nothing too worrying yet,but we need to be more clinical up front and hopefully JG can give us that.

Unfortunately thats something quite a few on here OB won`t give him,as we`ve already seen some moronic views about getting rid now.I mean WTF is that all about ?
