Doubt it, I reckon you and he are going to find it the difference between signing executive orders and making things actually happen.

Ask any immigrant at an airport this weekend if he's made anything actually happen.

Stop being so naive. it's that kind of dismissive attitude that saw him get the job as no one took his ability seriously.

No mate, he was completely cheated out of it. There's undeniable proof of that, and that's why this "Russian hacker" nonsense was truly pushed to the forefront.

Russian based leaks(not hacking) exposed that Clinton had f**ked Sanders over. That's literally all that happened. No one tampered with election counts. No one did anything else at all.

They showed that the DNC had worked amorally to shaft the Sanders team. Then like a week later Bernie's top person gets a top gig with Hilary. C'mon man.

I fully agree with your final point.

This is why I say people need to focus on reality. Bernie Sanders and Trump faced the same reality. They were the outsiders and had to find their way in therefore for someone to suggest that the DNC did not want Hilary to win will be puerile and not based on reality and will be a reflection of the bad spirit I talked about. She was the candidate of the DNC and it was up to Bernie, the independent, turned democrat, to break through via campaigning and ultimately getting the votes. Perhaps if he started his election earlier then it would have been enough but that is what you have to do and that is what Trump did, Trump broke through with a very tempting innuendo and message. Sanders was swept away in the South and the race was over after that. He lost and the ''Russians said this or that'' thing does not cut it.

"Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic Party, was found to have sent an email during the primary election saying Mr Sanders "would not be president."

She immediately resigned from her position at the head of the party and her role chairing the convention which begins on Monday."

There's a ton of it. It was completely rigged from within.

Personally, I find the suggestion that Sanders could have beaten Trump somewhat laughable, I think the democrats were due a backlash after Obama failed to deliver on any of his promises for anyone who wasn't above middle class. But make no mistake about it, Hillary rigged the whole damn thing from angles we never even saw.

Sums up how stupid it is. There's also a foreign film maker who is nominated for an Oscar but is unable to attend the ceremony cos of this stupid law he's implemented. Plus the countless at airports stuck being questioned about their beliefs when they have already gone through the rigorous visa scrutiny. It's fucking disgusting to be honest and seeing our Prime Minister getting into bed with such a man makes it all the worse.

One of my best mates has worked in the States for around 10 years for Hugo Boss, spends usually 6 weeks then 6 weeks here. He was born in Iran but came here at 3 years old. He has Muslim heritage but doesn't follow Islam but has duel passport.

He got told this morning that he can't travel to America this week and probably his position is in jeopardy.

The whole blanket wide ban is ridiculous. Especially so as the countries who are the main sponsors of terrorism in Saudi Arabia etc aren't on the ban - the cynic in me says it's because Trump and America have huge business dealings there.

Brilliant, he managed to tighten something on the borders. Every time he wants to enact something with a budget though, it'll have to pass Congress.

It's because like it or not, the Saudi's are the foundation stone and if they go the whole thing falls down.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are the two dirtiest players on the table, but people are focused on Russia.

Something tells me he's not too concerned.

Again, I'm not a Trump guy. But I can see exactly what he's doing and he's positioned to implement his whole agenda. It's terrifying stuff.

You are still going back to the same thing. If there is proof that they changed the numbers of votes, which is what counts then people should show evidence but in reality it is not the case. Wassershulz..of course wanted Hilary to win, you can work that out in your nap without ''emails'' or ''Wikileaks''. They did not want Sanders to win as I said that is clear and obvious and makes sense.

He was an outsider like Trump
He was running, and rightly so, under an agenda of contempt for the establishment and the Democratic party.
The democratic party had already ordained Clinton as the heir apparent and she was the most qualified around to get the candidacy.

It was up to Bernie Sanders to BREAKTHROUGH through campaigning and votes. Convince the folks in the south that playing Dragon age inquisition or skyrim with Wall street is going to make people's life better as many felt detached from this middle class fantasy warfare with bankers; convince people that some of his base is not consumed by the bad spirit seen in the ''right'' ;actually start early enough (because Clinton had been campaigning for President since 1998) to go around the country and gather enough support to WIN VOTES. That is what it is all about. He had a strong message, a good message, a right message but his campaign feel short under difficult odds. What he did is admirable but we have to face reality here and accept that he lost because he did not get the votes.

Trump doesn't like the GOP and the GOP don't like Trump. They can't both get their way over the next four years and at the moment they are in a race to get legislation before the other that they refuse to sign. If Trump refuses to sign a bill from Capitol Hill, then the GOP can disown him. If Capitol Hill refuse to back Trump he can blame the GOP for his failure as POTUS.

hes doing exactly what he said he would do in his campaign speeches. i dont agree with it, i think its stupid to just ban everyone.. btw didn't obama do a similar ban with iraqis ?

i actually think a large number of the us population and his supporter base agree with most of his polices. you just have a loud minority opposed. i think its the same in europe with other right leaning parties. people want controlled immigration, but lots are scared of saying it, as they are automatically accused of being racist.

What makes you think there should be tighter border controls? Have you travelled to the US in the last 15 years (since 9/11). If you had, you'd realise that border controls are already very tight which would go some way to explain why there have been no terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11 perpetrated by people who have travelled there specifically to carry them out. He's doing this to solve a problem that doesn't actually exist in the USA itself. In fact most of his executive orders do not address any real problems, they just appeal to his core support.

my bad i didn't make it clear in my last post. i meant in this country - uk. i think immigration is too high and we need tighter border controls

Yes, I especially enjoy the interesting perspective from the folks who've never been here . . . or, worse, claim to "love Las Vegas." :)

Incidentally -- I spent a few summers in Owyhee County as a kid, not far from Murphy. Learned to ride horses and fish there.
I kayaked the Owyhee river 15 or so years ago, wild country

That's out of order, and shameful. Trump is nothing like Gary Neville.

When I travelled through America to come back from Canada the USA border patrol man asked me how long I would be in America for and I said approx 3 hours and he said ' good decision'!! Granted that was before Trump became President but....................!!!!

Next time I go to Canada I make sure I get a direct flight!!

Why does he have dual nationality? Isn't one enough?
