Actually gutted about this. Really, really like Jack. Very intelligent and impressive footballer. Honestly feel he could have been useful as a backup this season if we'd given him a go in preseason, but oh well. He needs a permanent move as someone like him is easy to drop on loan - they always drop the young loanee who plays in AM.

He'll make it back to the Premier League before long. I'm certain.

Aargh! I really wanted Jack to make it with us. All the very best to him though. Hope he has a great career.

Good luck Jack Byrne he is going to need it at WIgan with the other signings they have made and their position. Fingers crossed Joyce has more faith in the lad than Coyle ever had. As for us, you may not rate the likes of Delph or Fernando but the gaffer still does and it would be twice as difficult for the likes of Byrne to break through as well if Yaya does extend his deal. It is the right deal.

I don't know the player but he's reached the age of 20 and doesn't look close to the 1st team, so this is probably the right move for him.

Like everyone else,i'm disappointed another exciting youth product has left the club without being afforded a real opportunity.Maybe he wasnt good enough to make an impact here but we'll never know that for sure - its an incredibly difficult position the manager finds himself in where our kids are concerned, kind of damned if you do......only when a player is genuinely in the 'potential superstar' bracket will i be confident they will get a chance with our first team, and that may well be the case with some of our u18's,however,for now,the wait goes on......

Back to Jack and our loss is definitely Wigans gain,he's a winner and he will make a fine player,i'm sure we'll see him in the Premiership at some stage. As much as it does disappoint,it's certainly the right move for him - i wish him every success.

4th March. Blackburn vs. Wigan.

I hope that's enough time for Jack to get in the side and he makes Owen Coyle look like the clueless c*nt his is for not playing him.

A real shame, maybe as an adopted Irishman I'm biased but it feels very disappointing that he never got a real chance here, he's an easy lad to pull for is Jack.

If the club have made the decision based on a disappointing few months under a hopeless manager at a shambolic club, rather than all his great seasons in the youths and fine year in Holland, then quite frankly it's one that I hope comes back to bite us on the arse.

My usual feeling is we should take the sentiment out of it and trust those in charge to get these things right, and in fairness with Huws, Evans, even Lopes they appear to have been vindicated at this point. Byrne just looks like he has that bit of magic, something different about him that I hoped Guardiola might've been able to appreciate and mould.

Spot on dom, a crying shame he never got a better look in with Coyle.I honestly believed he was one youngster who would make it big time with us.Perhaps we know fuck all about football and thats why Pep has decided he`s better of elsewhere.I`m one of those who always likes to see young talent coming through.
Does make you wonder about youngsters like Angelino and Maffeo.

Really disappointed. He deffo has PL quality in him. shame we sent him on a fucking disgracefully bad loan and Coyle was a shithouse.

Pretty much agree with all of this, love Jacks energy, aggression and ability.
