    High Blood Pressure

I'm on Amlopidine (5mg) and Perindopril (4mg). My recent one week monitor gave an average of 138/88. I had a review this morning and my Dr has increased the Amlopidine to 10mg in an attempt to reduce to below 135/85.

    High Blood Pressure

Well it is until it runs out. Then you have to get a GHIC (Global) HIC card. Despite the name, it is far from global and actually covers less countries than the EHIC did- another bloody Brexit benefit!

    High Blood Pressure

Well said. I have been taking BP tablets for 20 years. My job required an annual medical and if the lower figure went above 90 consistently, then the medical would not be renewed. I actually take mine daily in the evening and have alerted my GP to the fact that it has crept up over the last few...

    The Title Race - 2023/24

The "double" used to be the holy grail in English football. The fact we could win it twice on the trot would be just outstanding. If it's not to be, I'd rather the PL for the 4th time, or you've got to start the 152 game slog to be in with a chance of it all over again. Just to put it into...

    Holidays

It's the All Inclusives that are the problem. We went to Dahab a few years ago, about an hour north of Sharm. It was a small hotel, b&b, and we ate in local restaurants. Not a hint of dodgy stomach with either of us-unlike the Sharm Hilton AI where I thought I was going to go back to needing...

    Covid

Covid is a virus, so antibiotics wouldn't touch it. If they did, there'd have been no need to get a vaccine. My mrs had it a couple of weeks ago. It was worse than when she had it in 2022, but she has no vaccine protection in her system now.

    FA Cup Final 2024 | Manchester Derby | Sat 25 May 3:00pm

To win it again would mean we've beaten, Chelsea x 2, Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle, Scum x 2, in the last 2 years to name but a few. It's not exactly been easy.

    Prostate cancer

I can confirm all of the above. After I had a kidney removed I had a flexible cystoscopy every 6 months for about 3 years and then annually. The thought is worse than the procedure itself. Getting it early is the key as I discovered purely by chance as I needed an annual medical for my job and...

    State Pension Increases

I think you have to have paid NI for 10 years to get a pension. But this is one reason why NI is so important to keep. If you have worked all your life and paid NI, there is a genuine psychological link to what you've paid in and what you get out. If NI is abolished that link disappears and so...

    State Pension Increases

If you're registered on the Govt site, I think all you then need is your login, password and NI number.

    State Pension Increases

Certainly rail fare increases are still based on RPI, as are some final salary schemes-my old one has it written into the scheme rules, and it would take a members' vote to change it. Outside this sort of situation there certainly should be some consistency if CPI or RPI should be the measure...

    The Title Race - 2023/24

But at least Alexander Arnold has won far more than City already so he won't care.
